Thanks to the enthusiasm and inspiration of Dr. Edwards, I’m currently a senior pre-dental major at Whitman College. My sophomore year, looking to get a local student involved with research, Dr. Edwards reached out to me with an idea to investigate a popular dental product’s potentially exaggerated claims. Over the course of the past year Dr. Edwards has poured countless hours and materials into this project guiding me in his spare time. The results of this project, along with several others Dr. Edwards has in mind, may have major implications in terms of what and how dentists use a variety of products to deliver the most effective, affordable patient care.
