Dr. McBratney is the absolute BEST dentist I’ve ever had. I wish I would have found this establishment a long time ago.
I suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks. The dentist has always been very scary for me and I never go back. Like ever.
Upon arrival, I couldn’t stop crying. The receptionist was very kind as was my nurse. Nobody treated me weird or different, they simply let me have my process. This made me feel like I could trust them and be there without judgement.
Dr.McBratney did his exam, but NEVER touched my teeth with any tools. This was a promise made by him, which was incredibly thoughtful.
We decided to take it slow and work on the “easiest” teeth first. Not once did he chastise my current dental state, but if anything he made me feel better about it.
The sweet lady working with payment opened up to me, and told me that she also has anxiety. This made me want to cry happy tears, just having someone care enough to tell me that everybody goes through these things.
Dr.McBratney and his entire staff are one of a kind, and I would recommend them to anybody.

Been seeing Dr. McBratney for over 20 years. Going to the dentist is never a "dreaded experience". Clean modern facility, great staff, and most importantly, Dr. McBratney constantly educates himself and stays current with the latest equipment and knowledge. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

Last week, I decided to switch from my old dentist's office to Hawkinson Family Dental of Anchorage. In less than 5 mins I knew I made the correct decision for my family and I's dental needs.
I'm like most people who automatically have a terrible feeling about going to the dentist, but from the moment I walked in the door, I felt a sense of assurance come over me. The office was inviting, bright, very comfortable, it had a modern feel to it.
The receptionist Shyanne was friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything in such detail.
My dental hygienist was Chiemi she was funny and professional I couldn't believe how thoroughly clean my teeth were.
Dr. Hawkinson found a small cavity that no other Doctor has been able to find, she was able to move some things around on the schedule and got me in ASAP.
On the day of my cavity filing, my dental assistant was Dien she is very personable and inviting, she made me feel at home and very relaxed. She explained in such detail what was going to happen once the Doctor started the procedure.
Dr. Hawkinson came in and also took the time to explain the whole procedure. She was very knowledgeable and professional. She fixed my cavity and made it painless, I was so comfortable I nearly forgot what was going on in my mouth. The procedure rooms have multiple tv's one of which is on the ceiling keep you intrigued on whatever show is on. (amazing set up in the office by the way).
