I don't think you could ever classify oral surgery as 'cheap', but we found the appointment to be affordable, considering the work that was done. He will be our go-to for oral surgery work, for as long as he practices in Juneau!

I had 2 painfully-deteriorated molars extracted by Dr. Paulson, and I am VERY pleased with the results. His office is staffed with people who are both warm and professional, and who took excellent care of me. The doctor himself was a delight: a man totally committed to his work, highly knowledgeable, and a pleasant conversationalist to boot; a rare combination! He took extra steps and used cutting-edge methods to ensure my healing process would be as smooth and fast as possible (which it was, in the end). During the operation itself, he took care to ensure that he didn't cause me any pain whatsoever, routinely checking with me while under local anesthetic to see if I was in any discomfort. He even had a trick to make the initial injections less painful. I was given thorough and detailed aftercare instructions that proved useful. I felt supported and welcomed.

Not the best dental experience, poor BP taking technique.
From Harvard Health - one of 7 BP measurement mistakes: Engaging in conversation. Chatting during the measurement — or even actively listening — can boost blood pressure. That's why you (and everyone nearby) should be silent to ensure an accurate measurement. Dr. Paulson engaged in chatter and asked questions, each time I answered the cuff would tighten some more making my arm ache and my BP climb even higher. Then he made me mad questioning my decision to not use a certain drug which drove my BP through the roof!

Dr. Paulson was a good doctor but his staff is HORRIBLE!!!! I would not recommend them to ANYONE even my worst enemy! Those gals are rude and disrespectful for as much as they charge. Very disappointed! Never again!
