I got 2 visits, 1st one was a deep cleaning done by the kind and attentive Raquel, she did a great Job, whenever I felt any pain or feeling while she was doing the cleaning she will take the time to apply more anesthesia, the next day I was expecting a sore and sensitive gums, but It felt great almost no discomfort. I’m very please with her job.
2nd day I went in for a filling and extraction of 2 wisdom teeth (one was fully visible and the other one partially visible, like halfway) done by Dr. Skinner, the fully visible one was a really quick extraction (took longer the anesthesia to kicked in) and the partially visible one took a little bit longer, he had to split in half, and pull it out with a little more of technic because it was collapsed/impacted with the other tooth next to it. So far it was a great work done by dr. Skinner assisted by Crystal, I was really afraid and concerned to do the extractions. Before and after ask about the stuff you’ll have to do to take care of the wound(s) like replacing the gauzes every 30-60 min for the first 3-4hrs, etc, so you can plan ahead. Right now I’m within 24 hrs of the extraction so I’ll keep you posted if something feels wrong. (I feel sore but It’s not something major, I’m taking ibuprofen)
Big note: since it was done by local anesthesia, I could hear the cracking and feel the pulling to get it done, so if you can’t handle it (that was my main concern) you might consider general anesthesia (“fall sleep”, I don’t know if that’s the correct term).
Hopefully this review helps you to take an informative decision, I was really panic when I read another reviews (I guess it was because they could hear the cracking, feel the pulling and scratching etc.)

Been with them forever, really good, friendly staff. They are a great family Dentistry that knows your whole family and asks how everyone is doing. Dr. Skinner is fast and thorough, and usually comes right in when the Hygenists are done! Big smiles all around, lot's of energy in the staff, great place for your kids to start going.

I had Raquel for my hygienist today. She did a great job. Very gentle, let me know what she was going to do next and was very pleasant to talk with. I will keep using her as my hygienist. Donna H.

I have been going to Dental on 1st every since dr. Cody Skinner has been in place. I appreciate their friendliness and their thoroughness in regards to my entire mouth. Not just my teeth, but my gums and the General Health of my mouth. Dr. Skinner is my favorite dentist because he is my only dentist, and that is because I have never felt the need to go anyplace else. My hygienist, Sachi is equally as attentive. They show personal concern, what more could you want, and of course the prices armoire then competitive. Jacqueline j e m e s

Very disappointing! When a dentist office makes a commitment to a patient it should be no different than any business making a commitment to a customer. A patient's discomfort is just as important as a dentist time. After being told that adding two teeth to my partial would take 2 to 3 days I was on my way to the office to pick the partial up when I received a call that it would take 11 days. The office said they tried to reach me for 2 days, which they did not, so I arrive there not a happy customer.

Finally got my denture back today and although it took a lot of modifying they fit fairly decently. The lady who did the modifying was relentless to get them as correct as possible. I really appreciated that. As a result, although unhappy at the time it took to get denture, I am raising from one to three stars on this review.

I don't like to write unfavorable reviews. I don't think I would have except you asked me to.
Let me start with the positives! Almost everyone was always friendly and kind. I don't ever remember having to wait long to be seen. Once I even dropped by with the pieces of my partial, a section of teeth had broken off, you were able to see me right then. The hygienist and other women I met in the office have been cheerful and professional.
The reasons I wouldn't recommend this office are these. From the beginning I felt their mission was to use as much of my insurance as possible, whether I needed it or not. My priority was to have a partial that didn't hurt to wear, didn't look obviously false and let me eat in public w/o embarrassment. I think I have 5 new crowns, they pulled a tooth I was fighting to save and have only been able to wear my partial a matter of days. Just a few weeks after receiving it, the 3 teeth on one side snapped off. For some reason it took 2 weeks to get them back? The next day, those same teeth snapped off again. Sadly, I was in my car at the time and haven't been able to find the section of teeth since I dropped them. Took what I had back to be fixed again. This time I got them back in days, only they're all wrong!! Even w all the xrays and casting molds of my mouth, they tried to fill the space with only 2 teeth??? I can't help but think that the girl stuck them in my mouth hoping I wouldn't notice? I'm so discouraged that I don't even want to bother taking them in again?

Always great hygienists. My teeth are beautiful. They are very thorough and don’t make me feel awkward.
Dr Skinner never bugs you, just informs you of what you should do to take care of teeth. It’s up to me to follow thru.

Dr. Cody Skinner and his staff are, in a word, FANTASTIC!!
When you have your consultation with Dr. Skinner, he will explain all of your options, from least expensive to higher end.
He does not push for an "up sale" just to make money. He explains your options, then let's you decide.
I had a cleaning, (2) extractions, (#'s 15 upper and 17 lower, left side) plus (2) cavities filled.
The entire process was virtually pain free.
YES, I SAID PAIN FREE!!
He did not limit the use of lidocaine, at least in my case.
The fillings and extractions were done in about 1 hour.
Now, about pricing. He explained his price structure and it is the most reasonable I have found in Tucson.
He could charge double what I paid but he's not in it for the money.
He truly wants to help people who are in pain.

Been going here a long time. Dr. Halbach originally, now Dr. Skinner. Dr. Skinner does nice work and takes the time wheen needed. The current hygenist is great, she is thorough and gentle. Also very kind and pleasant. The front desk staff have been there a while but it seems they are hit and miss some days they are sweet and kind and others they are Kurt and unbearable. Glad that is a short portion of the service.
