Dr Amy Do Family Dentistry

After diagnosis for a brain tumor, any dental visits fell to the wayside, and then I learned my previous dentist had retired. Despite all the medical offices I frequent, dentists are ones where I tend to be particularly anxious. I tried searching for one with a therapy dog (google thought I wanted a veterinary dentist) with no luck. I finally checked dentists covered by my insurance and when I checked Dr. Amy's yelp page I saw they have an office dog available for patients who would want such company. It's been almost 20 years since I went to a new dentist without needing anxiety meds, between Dr Amy's thorough questions (and making sure to contact my endocrinologist to verify that none of my medications may cause issues with my treatment) and her soothing office environment and that charming little pup, I am almost sad I only needed a couple visits to catch me up on my dental care. I don't know if it's because of her own health issues in overcoming cancer, but the steps she takes to make me feel heard, cared for, and like a human being rather than an unusual set of problems is so incredibly refreshing I'm not certain I could thank her sufficiently without crying. Thank you for sharing the comfort that your therapy dog brought you with so many of your patients Dr Amy, and thank you for making my dental appointments something I look forward to for the first time in my life!

Fantastic experience! Everyone is super sweet and makes my visit as painless and fast as possible. Dr Amy Do is very experienced and makes me feel comfortable in a place i'd otherwise really would not choose to be due to my frequent dental issues. Highly recommend!

Dr. Amy Do and her staff are professional, knowledgeable, and treat patients like family. Dr. Do’s expertise in her field stands out throughout my appointments and her treatment plans are thorough and work for me in terms of health, time, and finances. She and her staff go above and beyond every time. I don’t mind going to the dentist since switching to Dr. Do several years ago.

Dr Do and her team were so kind and thoughtful when my daughter had to go in for 2 slightly complicated fillings. She was quite nervous but they put her at ease and walked her through the whole treatment keeping it positive and quick. They listened to her needs and were attentive.
They were also wonderful at getting us in with a time crunch! Thank you!

Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience at this dental office.

Initially the dentist and the nurse were joking about how she loved filling cavities in the back of the mouth? I guess she didn't prefer them.

When going to have my cavity filled, at the end the dentist was unable to get my bite back to normal on the side of the cavity that was filled.

After trying to sand down the areas that needed to be grinded down to a good bite, she couldn't figure it out. She excused the nurse helping to go work somewhere else because it was taking a while and other appointments needed tending to, I suppose.

She continued grinding and sanding down and having me bite on the film to try to get my bite to normal, but it wasn't working, and she was visibly frustrated.

She started sanding on my tooth that she didn't even work on in the first place to try to make my bite normal. It left my tooth not being able to bite normally on that side and it felt like I had half of my tooth gone on the bottom.

The follow-up appointments for me and my son were scheduled that day I got a call the Friday before the next appointment to confirm. So I called back that Friday and left a message stating we wouldn't be returning.

I got a call that Monday saying I called after 12pm Friday and they leave the office early so they want to charge me for the cancelled appointment.

Dr. Amy Do., is the most caring and gentle dentist I’ve had and I f you have fears or phobias this is the place to come. They are kind and will help you over come any negative experience you’ve ever had. They environment is warm, peaceful and inviting. Excellent patient / customer service everyone is so very friendly. I’d recommend Dr. Amy Do to everyone. I love my new dentist and so will you. Give them a call.

I’ve been going to Dr. Amy Do for over three years and hate going to the dentist a lot less since I’ve been seeing her! Aside from the general happy vibe of the office aesthetics that immediately puts you in a better mood, her staff are always so friendly and easy to talk to. You can tell that Dr. Do not only works hard and cares about her patients but is also genuinely interested in her work and happy to be there. I mostly appreciate that I’ve never felt rushed with her, she’s always happy to explain things out thoroughly or just ask how my life’s going. Definitely recommend them if you’re looking!

I have been with several other dentist, but no one else has giving me the personal care as Dr Amy Do and team. She has always been very honest and so professional. With only one thing that was on her mind, that was what was best for me. That is why I will always put my dental care in her skilled hands and heart, she really cares about her clients. So I always refer all my friends to Dr Amy Do.

Dr. Amy Do + staff are awesome! I recently was seen for a complicated tooth issue and Dr. Amy Do + staff went above and beyond to make certain that the end result was beyond satisfactory. Good enough was not good enough, and I am grateful to have found such a capable dentist and supporting staff.
