My husband and I have been a Patient at Rolling Hills Corning Medical and Dental. 705 East Street Corning CA 96021 for the last 2 yrs. With Dan McClough, PA, Physician Assistant. I am female, Caucasian and Disabled Senior age of 57. My husband who is also 57 has underlining health problems and is a Native American Indian.
Due to Covid the rules, back in December I had an over the phone Doctor call. I wanted referrals to see an ENT and Urologist. Doctor Dan McClough, said he couldn't referrer me to the ENT, with out seeing me first, but he did refer me to see a urologist for incontinence and a proctologist for an colonoscopy. Without looking at my Rectum or my Urethra.
I finally was able to see the Dr Dan McClough , in person, July 7th 2021, He checked my Nose, Ears. Said he will refer me, altho my insurance was not being accepted at ST Elizabeth's in Red Bluff that they will have to search in Chico. I shall hear from someone in about two weeks. Well two weeks past and nothing, the third week the Friday I called, the receptionist took my name and birth date said that the lady who takes care of referrals was not there to call back Monday, so Monday I called. The Receptionist took my name and birth date said they will pass it on to the girl who handles the referrals said that the lady is not there call back Tomorrow which was Tuesday August 3rd.
Wednesday August 4th, my husband James ( who is part Native America Indian) asked in person about my referrals while he was at an appointment with the same Doctor Dan McClough, the receptionist again took my name and birth date and said she would give the message to the girl and they will call me.
Whenever I called to inquired about the referral I got the same response. I have only received one referral it was for an eye doctor in Chico, so far none to see the ENT as of August 31 2021.
Back in February my husband stared to have stomach problems, cramps, diarrhea, throwing up, we called the Rolling Hills Clinic office in Corning Ca, they said they had no openings to call back in a few days, a few days went by still same symptoms the office said nothing yet. I called the 911 they rushed James to St. Elisabeth, He ended up in the hospital with Diverticulitis, a perforated colon, 14 inches were removed. 11 days in the hospital. At the time of surgery the Doctor Stephens, discovered a hernia, and kidney stones and James had lost about 15 lbs during his bought with diverticulitis. The infection around his colon saved his life.

Received a text to confirm my 9:40 appointment, but when I arrived , was penalized for not showing up 20 minutes (their phone/text system didn't update my time) earlier for mandatory paperwork. Even though i rushed & had completed the paperwork, the staff didn't take the time to check on me & handed my appointment over to another person! By 10:30, I closed my account. A well run practice will honor their commitment to patients appointment times. Staff should have told me their "Solution" phone system error was going to cost me an extra 45 minutes there, yet they elected to leave me in the dark.

ALL the Nurses, Medical Assistants & various Support Staff, with whom I've had contact, are Very Nice. (I rate the Medical Section ONLY here as 2-3 stars based on my 3 yrs. experience with my "Primary Provider's" Personal Inaction & lack of Adaptibility / 'Chairside' Manner.
Here's why: As a 65 year old covered by Medicare, With COPD (as per this PP) I have experienced a LOT of Life-altering & Stressful Experiences in Life & since being placed under 'his' care; Yet, No Supplemental OXYGEN Ordered for me since September 2019 and Will Not Address Any of my Health Challenges Unless I show up for an in-person Appt. AND Repeatedly Chastised me for my habits of 5 cigarettes & 3 lite beers daily. In addition, this person accused me of using an illegal drug! Really?! Heinous.

This clinic never returns calls, I tried to book an appointment for a physical took me 4 trust to get someone to answer the phone, now they claim they are all booked up for almost 2 months

The staff is all very nice and helpful.
I went here to get an endometrial cyst checked out. The gynecologist was great and actually cared and wanted to help get me out of the horrible pain I’ve been in. I recommend this place!

It's impossible to get while of any one by phone here and the receptionists are extremely rude. The doctors are a joke. Horrible place for medical help.
