The office staff were professional and caring throughout scheduling my appointment and during checkin upon arrival. The dental assistant was friendly and made me feel comfortable. The dentist was kind and thorough. Making sure I was understood what needed to be accomplished and why. A path forward was determined and he ensured I was comfortable with the plan. Overall, I would give them a A++.

I am a 65 year old man that has been wearing dentures for 20 years I left Livermore for about 20 years and then when I moved back I needed work done on my dentures I first went to John Chan that cost me about $8,000 and I could not eat or talk with my dentures and I didn't know they did not guarantee their work at this place to make a long story short I lost all my confidence in dentists basically I thought they were all butchers but hey I need to eat so I went to valley family dentistry and I cannot believe how courteous extremely professional they are they save me a ton of money by repairing my old dentures that John Chan did to work on I will forever be grateful to valley family dentistry I can eat I can wear my dentures comfortably this is by far the best experiences I've ever had with the dentist in my life

Dr. Hsiao bought the practice from my previous dentist, Dr. Alvarez. After he left, I continued to have my cleanings done by Judy, who stayed on. Recently, I noticed some sensitivity with one of my teeth. I had Dr. Hsiao evaluate it. He noted some fracture lines (no surprise, I'm a life long grinder), but thought a filling might be sufficient to resolve the sensitivity. He discussed all possible outcomes before I scheduled. On the day of my filling, he again discussed the treatment before numbing my tooth. As another reviewer mentioned, he does use a shaking technique which distracts from the discomfort of the injection and makes it much more comfortable. As a former dental hygienist, I can appreciate how thorough he was with the explanation, preparation and filling of my tooth. He clearly has an eye for detail. He finished and polished the filling well. My bite is perfect and the tooth feels great. Highly recommend.
