Dr. Tim is wonderful! I came in for an emergency on Thursday and he was able to fix my broken front tooth before I went out of town for a wedding! He explained all of my options and I decided the best option for me was to start a crown. He explained that I could do a filling but on a front tooth they are fragile and I can end up with a brown line along the edge of the filling where it meets my tooth. His front desk staff was very knowledgeable as well, they told me that my insurance wouldn't cover fully for the pretty option, but I don't care about paying extra when its a front tooth and I think its dumb insurance will only pay for the cheapest fix. When starting the work Dr. Tim was very gentle and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I left with a temporary tooth and have to go back when the permanent one comes back but I was so happy I had a tooth to smile with for my family's wedding pictures. I highly recommend this office and they now have me and my family as permanent customers. Thank you Dr. Tim and all of your staff!!

It’s been quite a while since my daughter has seen a dentist. Before COVID for sure. Doc Polumbo and his team were extremely inviting and friendly. My daughter had a swollen gum and we needed to see someone quickly. I’ve been having a hard time finding a dentist since we moved here a year ago… to see a dentist, you’d better not have an emergency because most are either not accepting new patients or if they are, it takes months to see someone. I stopped at Yuba City Smiles’ office this morning, talked to the very friendly front desk assistant and was able to see Dr Polumbo this afternoon! Everyone was very polite and helpful! Dr Polumbo took his time and explained clearly what he was recommending for treatment. He is very attentive and very caring. We’re scheduled to go back next week for cleaning! So happy to have found this place!

MISREPRESENTATION: Timothy C. P. upgraded his services without discussing that I would be responsible to pay more than my insurance would cover, then his employee lied about discussing this matter. He also didn't want to replace my broken veneer, instead replace with a crown because 1. my insurance didn't cover veneers, and 2. a crown would last longer. But it wasn't true that my ins wouldn't cover a veneer. Now, I'm left with a ruined front tooth without the option to repair with a veneer. I'd like to think this was a misunderstanding, but when his employee falsify claimed she and I had conversations we never had about additional costs to me above my ins coverage, it is clear this was not a misunderstanding but doctor office MISREPRESENTION. I'd like to give him a -1 rating if it possible. From my experience, It seems to that they are more focused on money/profits and misrepresenting cases to insurance companies, than anything else.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! From honestly traumatic work to them screwing up with my insurance, I'm out almost $1000 and I didn't even get the work finished! I still have a temporary crown in because I physically and financially could not go back to this place. I orginally started going here because they were all about being able to handle Dental Anxiety but honestly I think they made mine worse. Lack of communication and oversight on their end, all in all, I recommend going anywhere else but to Yuba City Smiles.
