I was not looking forward to a crown over a failing tooth and I put it off for months, but 90 minutes in the chair with Valerie and Dr. Taylor and I was done and on my way. The hardest part was waiting for the novocaine to wear off. The entire in-house operation of imaging, designing and milling a perfect crown is downright futuristic! I try my best to support the businesses in the Roaring Fork Valley. I learned from my dentist that I needed to have a tooth extracted. I learned that most dentists these days don't do extractions. I learned that dentists in the Valley are reluctant to refer patients to others in the Valley that do extractions and was recommended to visit oral surgeons in Grand Junction. I was so relieved that Dr. Matthew Verheul was able to do the extraction, WITHOUT the application of a general anesthetic! Dr. Matt and his staff are all incredible. Very professional, caring, thorough and exude confidence. I needed a bone graph and have to wait three months before I'm able to move forward with an implant.

Some swollen and tender gums indicated some bacteria in hard to reach places. Keiko introduced me to a tiny brush that can get into those hard to reach spots! How wonderful! I have been with Verheul Family Dentistry since they opened (at least ten years?). I was nervous about having my cleaning since I am of advanced age with asthma, and the COVID19 pandemic is still active here. The staff answered all my questions and I felt safe during my visit. Everything is continuously sanitized, all are masked and the hygenist was covered as much as possible. One thing that really impresses me everytime I go in is that the staff always know my name and they greet me like a friend. This makes me feel very comfortable. I have had a variety of procedures with Dr. Verheul, including crowns, peridontal checks, and regular exams. She is patient, professional, and all her work has been top notch. Never any pain! I highly recommend Vweheul Family Dentistry.
