Premier Dental Care of North Colorado Springs

I switched to this dental office after finding out my boyfriend and his family had been coming here since he was a kid when Dr. Van Ness owned the place. It is now taken over by Dr. Calledine. I had a horrible visit. The front desk and dental assistants were extremely nice, but the dentist was questionable. I have extreme anxiety regarding dental work and needed 3 cavities filled that day. The dentist used novocain and left me sitting in the chair for almost an hour. He finally came back to fill the cavities and the novocain had worn off, causing me great pain when he began working. I was in the chair crying, with no apology from the dentist. On top of everything, Dr. Callendine advised me that I needed an extensive amount of dental work, which was confirmed untrue by other dentists.

I ended up transferring to Broadmoor Lake Dental, where Dr. Van Ness is currently practicing. He did not retire or move to Arizona as Premier was telling his old patients.

My experience with Dr. Marc and his staff is always top notch. I started going to Marc with my young sons. Now it is a family affair. My grandchildren are also patients. If you want a friendly and professional experience, call Lehman Drive Dental and tell them Maurine sent you.

I make an appointment for smiledirectclub scanner , and when I got to the facility they told me they dont do smiledirect anymore, even in the morning i called to make sure the time of my appointment and told then that it was for smile direct. Poor communication from this facility.

The staff was wonderful and kind. We appreciated that the doctor was honest and didn't charge us for services we didn't need. My daughter has a fear of dental work and wants to go back to Lehman again for her next visit.

I would of gave no stars if I could. I wanted this place to be a good dentist for me and I really tried to like this place and it’s doctor and staff but I just couldn’t, sorry. They were very unclear when speaking to them, I asked questions several times with no clear response or forwardness. I told the dental assistant what I didn’t want done right now but after talking to the secretary she put me down for that, very frustrating. The dental assistant and secretary were nice but their experience shows. The dental assistant didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing either, maybe she was new too but was very nervous and had to take my X-rays twice, that didn’t bother me but if she would be helping the dentist I wanted someone who was calm and put my nerves at ease not me doing that for her plus someone calm when working on teeth. It was dirty, cobwebs everywhere and smelt like a McDonald’s bathroom or maybe a porta potty. The X-ray thing that goes automatically around your head was dirty and had imprints of others chin with a white imprint. Every equipment was old like everything was from the 80’s. Also, there was no name on the building so I don’t know how anyone finds it. I was really the only person being worked on which was another red flag since good and reputable dentists have more than one person usually and it was in the middle of the day. The dentist I was told just got out of dentist school which showed by the way he handled me as a patient. Another red flag was the dentist had bad breath, isn’t he supposed to have good breath being a dentist. ?? 🤢 I don’t have good teeth and wanted a good dentist to handle my teeth with experience which I’m sure everyone wants but he stabbed me with the pick and hurt my gums a lot and didn’t even say he was sorry. He kept going back and fourth the his assistant with what tooth was what and what he thought might be done with them, she was saying I thought you wanted ____on that tooth, he said, oh maybe, uhhhh and then got up to look and then still went back and fourth about what he was going to do. I just wasn’t comfortable from the start and should of left immediately but I stayed thinking it maybe was me but after leaving I thought about it and knew I didn’t want to go back and don’t want that dentist to work on my teeth, not sure what he might of messed up if he had the chance to work on them. 😳 I couldn’t make this up and wouldn’t want to just telling you the truth but maybe this place is for you if you want a dirty place with inexperienced dentist and their staff. Thank God I didn’t get any work done here!! If you have great teeth and just need a cleaning sure maybe go here but if you need work done I wouldn’t recommend it.

If i could rate this place negative stars I would! had a couple of friends go here and Dr. Neilson told them they all needed root canals and crowns. They did the recommended treatment only to still be in pain many weeks later. They went to a different office where all of it had to be redone due to gross incompetence by Dr. Neilson. Please do yourself a favor and run!

Dr. Van Ness is the most incredible dentist! His personal follow ups are greatly appreciated. The rest of the team is always so friendly and personal. BEST DENTIST EVER!

I love coming to this dental office. The staff and doctor are so friendly. They got me in right away. Jamie was a great help with my dental insurance!

I used to HATE going to the dentist but Dr Slack and his team make dental care so easy I am not so hesitant anymore. I am not just talking about cleaning and flossing. Their cavity filling and periodontal gum care is awesome!

My experience was great when I went in. The front desk lady helped me out tremendously with letting me know the cost on everything. I would highly recommend this office if you need a dentist. The office is clean and well maintained.
