Best dentist I've ever had! When I was very young I got extremely sick. This caused me to lose the ability to create the correct amount of tooth enamel for my teeth. In turn leading to horrible teeth issues my whole life. That caused a huge fear of the dentist and crazy anxiety about my teeth for as long as I can remember. I had not been to the dentist in almost 5 years out of fear. This creates a horrible cycle. I don't go to the dentist for fear of being judged, fear of the potential cost, fear of the work that will need to be done. However, by not going my teeth continued to get worse. Knowing this makes the previous fears worse with each passing day. I would constantly worry about my teeth and my mouth. It truly negatively impacted my everyday life. I made the decision at the end of 2022 I didn't want to go into 2023 with all of this anxiety. I decided I MUST find a dentist and just do it. My wife found Canyon View and it was the best thing that happened to me! Were my fears of how bad my teeth were accurate? Unfortunately yes. Were my fears of cost justified? Unfortunately yes (not their fault, all mine!) Were my fears of being judged and feeling embarrassed (like all pervious dentist offices I've ever been to) accurate? NOT AT ALL! Everyone at the office is so nice. Immediately everyone put me at ease (as much as possible anyway). They sympathized with me and honestly it felt like they truly care about how I felt. Dr. McCallum made sure all of my fears were known and did everything they could to make me feel better. We had a discussion about my issues and the work that needed to be done. At no point did I ever feel like I was being judged or "in trouble" for letting my teeth get to the point they were at. I have now completed 3 appointments (LOTS OF WORK DONE). It has freed me of so much fear and anxiety in my life and about the dentist in general. Not to mention, you have headphones and can watch Netflix, a towel that smells good so you don't smell all of the typical "dentist smells". You know all of the normal triggers that scare most people about the dentist! My happiness has dramatically changed thanks to Dr. Cara McCallum and the team at Canyon View Dentistry! I decided to write such a long review just in case someone with the same level of fears I had/have about my teeth and the dentist reads this. Trust me, Canyon View will be the best decision you make if you need work done on your teeth!
