MJ Dental - Mount Dora Cosmetic & Family Dentist

With my severe dental anxiety, it is always difficult to find a dentist. Dr Jivan made me feel right at ease immediately! He and his entire staff we're so kind and caring, I definitely recommend this business

If I had known about this dentist my teeth would not have been neglected. I have had MAJOR SURGERY with less care &
compassion. Saw me for an emergency.Cared for me like a long time patient. I had NO pain with the nitrous oxide during a canine extraction and almost none after. Sent me home with.ice pack,etc. All the techs are sweet and so competent esp. Jenny, and Dr J is kind ,caring and brilliant dentist. I wish all my doctors were like him. After decades of careless, painful dentistry I am grateful.and amazed by Dr Jivian.

Today was my first visit with MJ Dental and they were absolutely amazing! I had a cavity for the first time and was scared to have a filling done but they made it such a stress free and easy process. They explained everything along the way and checked in with me frequently which was so nice. I felt cared for and can’t wait to continue going back! Thanks for helping my teeth get healthier again! :)

Given the serious nature of issues with this dentist's office, I am writing to share our experience with those considering using this office. Upon moving to the area, we had our previous dentist send our X-rays to this office and confirmed that this office received them and that they were in-network for MetLife. Upon arriving for our appointments, we learned that they had not uploaded our X-rays to their system. While my spouse called our previous dentist office to resend those, which was done immediately and reviewed during the office visit, we received a claim summary charging us for out-of-network prices and, more concerning, charges for x-rays that were never taken.

After reading all the great reviews, I decided to go for myself as I was in need of some dental work. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The dental assistant Jenny made me feel very comfortable and explained everything that was going on. Dr. Jivan was as good as everyone says. He clearly explained everything to me and was able to fix my problem in the first visit. I do not have dental insurance and was able to sign up for a plan that this practice offers, it saved me money on my first visit which was handled as an emergency. I now have plans to return for my cleaning and regular check up in the near future. Being new to the Eustis area, I am very happy I found out about MJ Dental in Mt. Dora!

07/29/2020 - I wanted to post a follow up to my last review... Yesterday I went back to Dr. Jivan's office for some well needed dental work. I was very nervous as who likes having dental work... Anyways, once again Dr. Jivan and his staff took wonderful care of me. He was very compassionate to my needs and anxieties. He and his assistant walked me through the procedure, she even let me hold her hand! Dr. Jivan's work was comfortable and quick. My teeth look amazing and the cost was fair. Once again I am happy to have found this wonderful dental practice in Mt. Dora and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality and compassionate dentist.

Best dentist I have ever had in my life.
Dentists in Orlando do not offer the same time, technology, skill or out comes.
My first teeth cleaning was like I had never had my teeth cleaned before. Recent crown too. Crazy. I have good insurance and lived in a big city, I had to move to Mt Dora to get good dental care. Really!

Dr. Jivan and Gini rock! I am a big baby when it comes to the dentist. Dr. Jivan and Gini made me feel comfortable and explained everything in detail as to what had to be done to fix two of my teeth. The crowns are perfect and there was little to no pain during or after the procedure. The staff were very professional. I will recommend them to all of my family and friends!

Dr. Jivan is a true professional at his craft.He explains everything in a way that is easy to grasp. You can just sense that he cares about his patients.He makes sure you are comfortable and you understand the scheduled procedures.You will not feel rushed here. I am very glad he is my dentist. He is very accessible in an emergency or if you have any questions. His staff(Jodie, Gini, Carrie, Marie, Christina) are ALL great at what they do. The environment is very positive and they work as a TEAM. I highly recommend Dr. Jivan. The thing I like the most about him is this: You can tell how knowledgeable and up to date with the newest dental practices he is. He comes across in a down to earth, confident manner without being arrogant as many doctors can be.

It had been quite a while since my last visit to the dentist. I mean quite a while (many years). Needless to say I was a bit nervous about my 1st visit. However, the staff was so caring and kind when I arrived, and after meeting Dr. Jivan, all my concerns and fears were eliminated and I knew I made the right choice. I know I will be in the care of a dedicated and compassionate Dr. with a caring team.
