It is always such a pleasure to come into Dr. Wardwell’ s office! I am greeted personally, and warmly, by EVERYONE in the entire office and it means a lot. Add to the warm fuzzy feelings the professionalism of each person doing her or his job and it is a winning combination. I have been a patient for more years than I can count and am so very glad that everyone in the office is younger than I am and so I will hopefully never have to look around for another dental practice! Thanks to all for such great service!

We are a military family and have known many dentists in our lives. When we moved to Hawaii, we tried three different dental practices, but either they wanted us to do expensive and unnecessary treatments or they didn’t get to know us or care about us at all. Doctor Wardwell and Ellen and Lisa and his assistant take such good, kind care of us. Dental work is scary. You need a trusted professional. Dr. Wardwell is really an artist—he does such a good job—and if you need a root canal, he’ll send you to the best dentist for that, too.

Without exaggeration Dr. Wardwell is the best dentist I have ever had. He is a skilled dentist as well as a humble and gentle human being who puts the patients’ well being first. During my three years as his patient, Dr. Wardwell, as well as his equally great staff, I have received numerous cleaning and other treatment procedures, each time with great results. I never forget the conversations we had during our visit. If you are looking for a competent dentist who is genuinely friendly and cares about you more than anything else look no further.

This is by far my favorite Dentist office I've been to in my 35 years of life. The overall quality and thoroughness of Dr Wardwell and Ellen the Dental Hygienist really puts me at ease in regards to my dental health. Lesa at the front desk always greets me with a wonderful smile and I feel so welcome.

I stumbled upon Dr Wardwell after having a really bad experience with my previous Dentist who made me feel like I was just making him $$$ and another number to him.

I have been with the Wardwell "family" for many years. Dr. Wardwell is an excellent dentist for me. He is conservative in approach and always thorough. Ellen, the hygienist, is the best I have ever experienced. Lesa, at the desk, always efficient and helpful, and funny. Darlene, Dr. Wardwell's assistant is proficient in her job. I am lucky to have all of them in my life. I have recommended this practice to many people who have then become their patients.

Dr Wardwell and Ellen have done everything right to operate a dental office in the age of COVID; asking patients to come on time instead of early so as to not have people in the waiting room; taking temperatures before having any cleaning or procedures; having patients stay in a single room instead of moving to another room for X-rays; being masked and gloved and sterilizing instruments. But the one thing they couldn’t control was the improper way the receptionist was wearing her mask—under her nose. I observed her talking to patients both before and after my teeth cleaning and both times she made no effort to adjust it to cover both her nose and mouth. Since I am a mask maker I am very aware of how masks fit for different sized faces, and I suspect the receptionist does not own a properly fitting mask.

That said, I have been Dr Wardwell’s patient for more than 20 years and have always considered him a competent professional, and while going to the dentist is never a completely pleasurable experience, I will continue to recommend him to my friends.

Dr. Wardwell and Ellen have been taking care of my family for over 20 years. They treat everyone wonderful and we have had very few dental issues because of their advice and care. Highly recommend.

Dr. Wardwell and his team are absolutely amazing! As a military spouse I’m constantly changing drs and dentist and I am so thrilled to have him as my Hawaii dentist! I’ve been in for a few cleanings and recently had a crown put on. His attention to detail is superb. He had to work around my smiledirectclub retainers and man is he a pro! Thank you Wardwell Team for making this experience a great one!

No other dentist that I know, has the expertise and caring attitude for his patients as Dr. Wardwell. I've been through many procedures (bridge work, implants, etc.). He's the only person my wife and I trust for all our dental matters perod.
