The hygienist was very kind and very thorough and he did my cleaning even though I was late. Great job. I never even saw the dentist though. Nice enough staff. Took me quickly. My insurance covered everything except tax which I’ve never heard of before but it was $12 so I paid it even though that seemed odd.

Been having my semi annual cleanings and X-rays done here for several years. They always do a great job! Recently had some discomfort in a tooth including my jaw and ear. Dr. Shepard reviewed X-rays etc and came up with a plan to follow. She thoroughly explained her reasoning and did so with a wonderful chair side manner. I would recommend Kona Coast Dental.

Amazing staff, very informative. I feel like ohana on my first visit. Time was taken to explain everything while procedures were being done. Most of all, my questions were answered & my concerns were addressed. Letting me know that I was valued as a patient. That means so much to someone who is fearful of going to the dentist.

I needed a new dentist but had a hard time finding one that was accepting new patients. Things got worse when I had a dental emergency, and needed a crown quick. Kona Coast Dental was able to get me in, and took care of my crown. As a pleasant surprise, the cost was reasonable compared to mainland prices. The staff is kind and considerate, and the experience was relatively pleasant (for dental work).

It was my first appointment here and I really was surprised that everyone was so friendly. I always that dentists were kinda super serious and all, but they were all funny and were nice to talk to, while also being competent in their work. :D

If I could give this one place a zero star I would. Completely non-professional for new patients. I scheduled an appointment with them a few months ago to come in on Nov.29. I just called to confirm the appointment and they said they have to move me to March next year because I’m a new patient and they made a scheduling mistake. How much worse can a dental place be…
