Kauai Dental Studio - Drs. Paul Yoo & Miriam Gonzalez

I had some typos in my previous review. Dr. Yoo, Shelly and Branson were so kind, compasionate and provided excellent customer service when my son had to have his wisdom teeth removed. We were on MedQuest at the time and Kauai Dental Studio was the only provider to assist us. My entire family will now be using Kauai Dental Studio for all of our dental needs. God Bless you all!!! This so called Dentist is a BUTCHER when it comes to teeth removal. He may be great with cleaning and minor tooth work, but what I experienced was HELL. I went in with tooth pain in my back tooth. After 3 x-rays Mr.Loo comes in and says one tooth has to be removed. Then he says he wasn't sure yet but possibly the one next to it too. Once he starts the numbing, that's when it all went downhill. He rubbed a numbing gel on my gums, then immediately injected my gums with a needle. There was no wait time in between in order for the numbing gel to kick in. I immediately felt pain from the needle. It was excruciating. I told him it hurts! He injected me 4 times. I felt every centimeter of the needle. Then he grabs the pliers or whatever they use and started pulling. The tooth that was bothering me came out with no hesitation. Obviously because my roots were dead. But then he says he is going to pull the one next to it. I assume Dentist's know what they are doing so I didn't question it. But when it took 15 minutes of pulling so hard my head lifted off the chair, I knew something was wrong. He struggled HARD to pull the second tooth. After the removal I asked the nurse if I could keep the teeth. Sure enough, the 2nd tooth had nothing wrong with it. He pulled a perfectly good tooth out of my mouth. Throughout this nightmare I was screaming in pain. I am sure if Mr.Loo reads these reviews he will remember me clearly. You butchered my mouth, Mr.Loo. I won't even acknowledge your title as a Dentist because of what I went through. I have had E.R. Physicians numb my mouth with injections and never felt any pain. And they arent even Dentists. I hope at least one person reads this and takes my advice. Don't go to him. This man is a butcher.

How would you have evenbeen able to look my case up when you havent asked my name? I kept the healthy tooth you ripped out of my mouth, and I do have insurance so there are records. I don't have teeth to chew with on the left side of my mouth because of your decision to yank 2 teeth instead of 1. Are you going to put my healthy tooth back, Doctor? Can't be done, right? The actions you take are PERMANENT. Did that occur to at any time while you decided to butcher my mouth?

Kauai Dental Studio turned wisdom teeth into a practically painless experience! On Wednesday I was in quite some pain as I felt my wisdom teeth coming in. I called many different dentist offices on Kauai to get quotes because I don’t have insurance. Shelly answered the phone and was immediately so sweet professional and provided me with all of the information I needed! She had me scheduled for an exam and a full set of X-rays early Thursday morning. When I went in I was greeted by Shelly and another very sweet woman at check in (I didn’t get her name) they let me know about their awesome Membership Savings Plan that is pretty awesome for someone with no insurance! I don’t think I waited longer than a minute when Sydney (I hope that’s how you spell her name) took me to the back explained to me how things were gonna go. She took all of my X-Rays and was awesome! Shortly after, Dr. Paul came to talk to me about his findings and explained that he was going to do the procedure right there! He constantly made sure I was VERY comfortable and talked me through the whole thing. Sydney who was assisting him on the procedure even offered to hold my hand (not because I was in pain but it is pretty nerve racking knowing your teeth are being extracted) I ended up getting all 4 wisdom teeth out! The Kauai Dental Studio team had me in and out of there in about 30 minutes! I am now recovering with some mild pain which is to be expected but thanks to this team what was supposed to be a very scary experience turned into a pretty great one!

Top notch. Super friendly staff! Had an actually quite delightful experience getting a burdensome windom tooth yanked thanks to the clear communication and down to earth energy of the staff. It was easy peasy. I highly recommend Kauai Dental Studio!

My experience at Kauai Dental Studio was exceptional. The environment was clean, calm, friendly and professional. My appointment started right on time, Signe was my hygienist, and I do believe it was one of the most gentle but thorough cleanings I’ve ever had. My teeth felt smooth and sparkly clean afterward. I would highly recommend Kauai Dental Studio to everyone.
