Harrison Dental

I went in for a simple filling because I'd had a slight bit of pain when flossing. Two hours and two shots of lidocaine later I was able to go home: Three times it took the dentist to get the filling to "bond". Nobody told me what was going on, only that they'd have to drill out the filling and try again -- twice this happened. After two weeks of pain that was getting worse, I returned. When flossing I was hearing a crunching sound and feeling the worst pain I'd ever experienced, particularly when pulling up the floss. I was told by both the dentist and the hygentist that I needed to keep flossing every day, and that if I did not do so, that the " little zing" of pain would continue. They were very condescending, and I was shocked that they seemed to be blaming me for not flossing daily despite the obvious fact that something was very wrong. I left in pain, feeling helpless, and fighting back tears. A couple weeks later I went to a different dentist, who re-did the filling. The intense pain when flossing went away entirely and immediately, but I was left with general throbbing pain on that side for the following year. Going in next week (a year later) for a root canal on this tooth. All of which started out as a small filling. Anyway, I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but when I saw the generally positive comments others had posted, I felt the need to say something. Up until this event I probably would have said that I liked my dentist just fine. Accidents happen, but really, these people chose to be condescending and sent me home rather than take responsibility for the messed up filling or try to help me through the intense pain. Now I'm out $1,000+ for the cost of the root canal and re-doing the filling elsewhere. (Yes, it was my choice not to go back there a third time and try to get them to take my pain seriously, but really, after the
way they treated me, anyone would have likely done the same.) Bad dental experience. I hope this review might be helpful for somebody out there.

Our entire family goes to Harrison Dental and that one dentist can meet the wide array of our family's needs as well as keep us all not in fear of the dentist is amazing! Five years ago my daughter had 7 baby teeth extracted to make room for big teeth. Since then she has had a mini crown put it to fill the gap of a missing tooth, a build-up on a "peg" tooth and even fake gum line installed. My husband has feared the dentist since childhood and now proactively makes his cleaning appointments--a true miracle! I love the friendly office staff and their willingness to accommodate our crazy schedules and help us with unforeseen dental expenses. This dentist is worth a visit...and I bet you will be back!

Absolutely the Best. The staff is 2nd to none. Fully trained and Certified. Their Harrison Dental Plan is the Best plan I've ran across especially resonible for a family. Ask for Courtney for hygienist. She does great work.

Harrison Dental is FANTASTIC! Everyone there is SO friendly and make you feel like family! It’s definitely a great work environment and I am SO lucky we found them! I Would recommend them to everyone!!!

I am so happy to find this office! The entire process was easy, which was nice, but it was also focused on my comfort level, which was wonderful.

The entire team: front office, hygienists, and the dentist I saw (Dr. Barnes), were all extremely professional. I will recommend this office to all my friends and family.

Dr Fife is very nice, but since the sale of the dental office, the receptionist charges $5 per O ring. It's this tiny little circle that goes in the denture and helps to hold the denture to the implant, which should have been part of the cost of a full set of dentures with 8 implants. You can buy them in bulk. I looked them up and you can purchase, retail: less then $6 a pack, of 25. That was the smallest amount that I found. The more you get , and they will come in various sizes in a kit, the less they cost.

Great little office in the North End. I have been going here over 2 years and have had no issues. Their staff is incredibly friendly and they offer flexible hours to accommodate a work schedule- appointments at 7am and even 6pm on some days.

Awesome! Had exactly what I needed!
I have mini-implants, and require small o-rings for them. Harrison Dental had the right size, and I got an extra set!
Reasonable prices, too!
