North Idaho Family Dentistry

Bizarre experience. I went in with a tooth starting to abscess and howling in pain. They took x-rays and confirmed it needed to go and they said 'I can see why you're in so much pain. We'll schedule an extraction for a week out and get you antibiotics and pain meds'. They came back and said ibuprofen? They'd decided it was risky considering my current meds to prescribe something I know works. Meds I've been on for 20 years. Been through heart surgery, broken back and pain management for the latter and never once had a doc or pharmacist warn me of interactions.

While they are sure to respond with putting my best interest first, it smacks of incompetence and a lack of compassion, given the severity of my condition. They finally relented and gave me Tramadol (from the latin term meaning 'useless placebo'). I then proceeded to have one of the most painful nights in recent memory.

They get two stars (rather than one) for the staff, namely Holiday, who was very kind and knowledgeable. Jennifer at the front desk, also very sweet. My dentist, Jessica, was very personable but in the end, I have to go with a dentist who understands the clues presented in the x-rays and how those discoveries might warrant specific action. Find yourself a dentist who is older, whose ideals have been replaced with pragmatic sensibility.

$158 wasted. But the dentist has like a dozen kids, so take 'em out for ice cream, on me. And cancel my follow-up.

Absolutely the best dentist and dental office my wife and I have ever been to. And that's saying a lot!!! We would encourage anyone to enroll on their Family Plan. It's definitely a money savior and pretty much keeps one stay on top of having regular check ups to assure oral health. The friendliest staff imaginable. I no longer have any trepidation of going to the dentist.

I had my first appointment today and they are professional, competent, and friendly. The waiting room is nice and the operatories are clean and comfortable. The dentist is nice and she is easy to talk with. My family has been going here for a while and we all like it. They’re so sweet with my grandparents too! (Grandpa is chatty, and grandma is shy—they’re so cute)

10/10 would recommend.

While traveling around Idaho this summer I started having tooth pain. NIFD was able to see me within 48 hours. The staff and dentist were friendly, professional and helpful. Because we were heading to GNP the following day they provided a temporary help and also the x-rays and diagnosis for me to give my dentist when I will be stationary for some time. Thank you so very much. If we lived in this area I would definitely chose this office for my dental needs.

My husband Steve went for his first visit to Dr Geyman and was very pleased with the quality of care he received.
