I love going to Bird Family Dental. The staff is so welcoming. The hygienists are so friendly and gentle with my teeth. Dr. Bird is honest, professional, and friendly. He has always done such a great job. I highly recommend Bird Family Dental!

I was asked by Byrd Family Dentistry after my last visit to write a review for the services that I had. So, it's taken me a while but, I am going to be honest and to the point, so here it goes. I had one tooth pulled and a cap put on another one and to say the least, I was not impressed at the service. I had to go back about 2 weeks after the appointment as the tooth that was pulled appeared to have part of the tooth still left in my jaw and it was causing me issues. I mentioned this to the chairside and when she looked, she said she could see it and went to get the Dentist. Doctor Byrd came in as he was the one who performed the procedure and when he looked, he said, oh, I can see a little bit of the tooth and he said, I wont do anything now because it will come out on its own but if you have issues, call and come back and we will take care of it then. I let it go and it took another 6 weeks anyhow and the piece of tooth came out on its own after I sat eating dinner and used a toothpick to push the rest of the tooth out. At the time, it took the dentist over 3 hours to get the tooth out and a cap put on, and when the dentist was done, he said I dont know why I tried taking the tooth out myself, I should have sent you to a dentist that does this routinely and have had him take the tooth out because he does not extract teeth very often. The location the old tooth was taken out from is still sore but getting better and that is finally after being in on October 25, 2022. The estimate I was given on the cost was lower than expected and come to find out, my dental insurance will not pay for but only a small share of the cost to have this done because Byrd Family Dentistry is not a preferred provider, which I was not aware of until I called my insurance company. Come to find out, I had been paying way over what I should have been, and my family with what was done, ended up paying thousands over what it should have cost particularly since the Dentist office did not notify us that they were not a preferred provider prior to any services being performed. We have decided to never go back to this provider, and we just paid them what it cost us due to not being notified about not being a preferred provider and its costing us thousands more than it should have. Learned a big lesson, always make sure whomever you go to is covered on your insurance or dont go to them. And, as far as the overall dental cost and procedures, I am not sure that what was done really needed to be done and it's one of those calls, you expect to have your medical provider to be honest and upfront on costs, and what needs to be done instead of finding out after something is done and suffer the price of not being open and honest with what is/was to be done.

When my long-time dentist left the area I was sure I would never find someone I trusted like I did him. After seeing a couple of dentists in the area and not feeling good there, I didn't see anyone for a couple of years until a friend recommended Dr Bird. From my first visit I felt completely at ease and would give Dr Bird and his staff at 10+..would recommend every day of the week!

Another great experience at Bird Family Dental. They have always been great to alleviate my anxiety with dentists and took great care of me.

This office is great because they do a really good job explaining each procedure and what is going to happen. They have state of the art equipment, and the whole experience is very pleasant.

Dr Bird repaired my broken filling quickly and polished it so that I don’t notice it. Great job!
