I recently moved from Oregon to Des Moines and I had a dentist I loved that took me a long time to find. I was afraid to find a new dentist because I have had some very painful cleanings in the past. Ballpark Heights is amazing, the cleaning was super quick and painless, I never felt anxious at any point. I am so glad to have found them!

My daughter referred me to this incredible dental office. So I made an appointment and let me tell you they are so wonderful and caring and everyone in the office are so sweet . The gal at the front desk was very polite and so nice. The dental hygienist Hillary is totally awesome and did a great job at cleaning my teeth and was so nice to my grandson , And I really like my new dentist. This place I would highly recommend to anyone. They are down home , very caring, and really nice people. I will now be a life long patient . And if your are looking for a great dentist they are the ones to go too. Thank you everyone at Ballpark Dental.

I love this dentist office. The stuff they use to numb your mouth before sticking you with a needle truly numbs the whole area. I didn't feel a pinch at all. It was amazing. I will always be coming here for my dental needs. The staff is friendly and always welcoming. đź’Ż recommend.

I had two fillings that fell out over a week's time and Dr. McPherson repaired them this morning in less than an hour. Hope they stay in, and I feel that they will.

The office staff is very friendly and helpful, and I would recommend Ballpark Heights Family Dental to friends and acquaintances.

This office was extremely understanding of my reservations of going to the dentist then was extremely kind when an emergency came and I needed to reschedule.

I hate leaving reviews and love Hillary so leaving this was hard for me to do but my partner said that I need to make sure that others don’t experience the same thing.
I scheduled my appointment about 3 months out because I have limited availability and it is hard to schedule work off.

I was called about 4 weeks before my scheduled appointment and was told that the office hours had changed and they no longer will be open till 5 and we’re not going to honor the scheduled time we already had set and needed to re scheduled. (It happens I do understand)

I asked to please be as close to 4 as possible ( which is why I scheduled it so far in advance to make sure I can get the time that would work best ) because I only have limited time I can get off work and this would mean I would have to get the time and dates approved from my work again when I had already had them approved once before.

As she was looking at the opening times they had she didn’t have one available however I was told because I have Medicaid dental the latest they could schedule me was 1 PM.

I do understand that they only will take so many Medicaid clients and they have timeslots they normally have available. This did mean I would have to take half a day instead of just two hours which was disappointing since they needed to change the appointment with no fault of mine, but I did it because I love Hillary and have been waiting two years to get in between the pandemic and issues.

I had originally scheduled my appointment through their sister company and I get they work together but Communication updates can be lost and I can take some time for both to be on the same page also understandable.

I had told them that I had Medicaid for insurance and the receptionist said that was just fine because they take both Medicaid carriers, Delta dental and MCNA.

I got to my dental appointment early to do all the needed paperwork.

It was 12:45 when I walked in at I handed her the paperwork by 1:20.

She looked at my sheet and said they didn’t like to work with MCNA so they quit taking that insurance but that I could switch it. I told her that I am familiar with their policies and to switch my dental insurance unfortunately I have to wait till opening enrollment which could be anywhere from six months to a year and she just said that unfortunately we quit taking that insurance because they’re difficult to work with.

There was no was no compassion no empathy at all. Just a “well that just to bad” attitude. It was very disheartening and also unprofessional the way it was all handled.

Quick, personal service. I've been with Dr McPherson for more than 13 years and I've never had reason to consider changing.

The Dentist and assistant were friendly. They were careful in practicing dental care, as well.
