Leawood Dental

One of my kids broke a tooth on a piano bench the day before we left for vacation. While we were here, this place got us in right away and did a great job fixing his tooth. If we lived here I would definitely bring the whole family here for our dental care!

I came to this place because of the stellar rating on google. I was tired of my previous dentist who was the reason I had started avoiding dental exams. My previous dentist always made me feel guilty about shortcomings in my oral care. I felt chastised like a child. After a very long hiatus from cleanings I finally looked up dentists with good ratings on google and found leawood dental. Very glad I made the appointment. They are friendly, eager to help, and best of all come at every "challenge" from a positive angle making you feel like your oral care isn't an all hope is lost. Instead of focusing on telling me what I was doing wrong and how I had failed, they framed it in a winning way of "this is what we can do going forward and everything will be ok". It has actually helped me to take my oral care more seriously, because even if I fall short, I know I won't feel reprimanded when I return next. We'll come together, make a plan, and be positive about the next visit. You can also tell that Dr. Joliff really cares along with the assistants and hygienists. I haven't met a single person here that seems to be "going through the motions".

I'll add this. Leawood dental has the best front office staff of any dental operation I've ever visited. They are not only good with pleasantries when you arrive, but on exiting, they will sit there for 5/10/15 minutes (whatever it takes) to help calculate how your benefits will likely pay, how much coverage you have left, setting appts around your remaining benefits or when the benefit year resets, how much is left in your flex spending, etc. I've never met a dental front office team willing to be so detail oriented to help me, the patient, make the best financial decision I can. Most other places just throw in the towel and say the "math is too complicated" and "we just don't know what insurance will pay" and not even attempt to help you plan the financials. From the front office staff, to the providers of care, everyone at Leawood Dental has been a real treat (and relief) to work with.

I have been a patient at Leawood Dental for decades. Dr. Peppes (and now Dr. Joliff) are very good dentists and are very good at explaining whatever your condition or problem might be and what they plan to do to take care of it. I have always had a lot of confidence in any diagnosis and treatment they made. I also have to give a shout out to Colette Wahlmeier. She is always happy and fun to talk to, which goes a long way in keeping everything calm and relaxing. She makes going to the dentist for a check up a pleasant experience. I've been going to Leawood Dental for years and they are always friendly and very professional. They have always been very good at making my visit a pleasant experience whether it be for a routine cleaning or other dental work. They are very good at keeping it painless when fillings, etc are required.

Going to "Leawood Dental" is always a pleasant and cheerful visit. Both, Collette my hygienist and Dr Peppes are very nice and very professional. I have never had a bad visit.

Leawood Dental was able to get me in to see Dr. Peppes the next day because of a cancelation. From the front desk especially Sue, to Gina, and Dr Peppes, I was treated with empathy. My fears were eased and I felt in great hands. Dr. Jolief took the time to introduce himself to me. I would highly recommend this practice.

This is a well established practice under Dr. Greg Peppes' leadership. The practice is methodically transitioning into the future with Dr. Luke Joliff's leadership incorporating state-of-the-art equipment and practice procedures.
You could not ask for a more friendly, helpful staff to work with. I give my highest recommendation to the great folks at Leawood Dental.

I visited Leawood Dental this afternoon ~ my first visit to a dentist in over 20 years! If I hadn't broken a front tooth, I probably wouldn't have gone. My embarrassment kept me from going to the dentist for years. My teeth are in TERRIBLE shape ~ missing and broken teeth, and, it turns out, cavities in a few of the remaining ones. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze, and filling out the online patient information forms was easy. The appointment itself was also highly satisfactory. Everyone I interacted with at the practice treated me kindly and with the utmost respect and put me at my ease, from the front desk experience, to my interaction with Mindy, who handled the xrays, etc, to Dr. Joliff, who was ever so thorough and explained everything so well, and to the lady in the business office (sorry I can't remember her name).
