I went in to have some decay filled between two back teeth. Dr Maxam and her assistant worked very hard to fix this issue for me. Was able to get one tooth fixed but the other tooth just would not set up enough with the anesthetic in order to make it comfortable enough to continue with drilling. After returning home and waking up from a nap I noticed that side of my mouth had FINALLY taken on more of the anesthetic. And I was just glad to see it DID work. It just took much longer to set in. I have a return appt to work on that tooth again. But despite that they both were as gentle as could be with me. Took their time in their work. And both constantly checked on me throughout the procedure to make sure I was ok. I still have some off and on again soreness and sensitivity which is probably a combination of the work itself and the nerves needing to heal. The best advice is to keep good oral hygiene for a lifetime to save yourself from having painful dental procedures later. But thank you to Dr Maxam and her assistant.
