I had severe anxiety about my dental procedure, but Dr. Gold stepped in (new to me) and completely eased my angst. He validated my feelings, gave me reassurance, constantly checked in throughout my procedure and gave me breaks when I needed them. He explained what he was doing and why, and only continued-on when I gave the 'ok'. He was not only accommodating and comforting, but he was very kind. I can say after my experience with Dr. Gold, that going back to the dentist next time will be easier for me because of him.
Additionally, I cannot say enough good things about the other dentist, Dr. Trone, as well as the rest of the staff there at Lewiston Community Dental. Everyone there is personable and professional.
Even though both dentists there are booking a ways out, the same goes for most dental clinics right now. They do the best they can, and they also have a cancelation list. I had doubts I'd be able to get in sooner than April, but they actually called me as soon as an earlier slot became available, which solidified that they're reliable and follow through.
I recommend anyone to go there. For me, it was worth the wait.
Thank you so much, Dr. Gold, and team.

I was in there Tuesday with my niece and nephew as their mother needed to work. I was told their appts were at 8am and 830 am. After waiting 30 minutes my nephew was called in at 8:20. Two other patients came in and were seen 4 customers left after being seen. My nephew came out of the office at 8:50 saying the woman will be out for my niece in a few minutes. Afrer waiting another 20 minutes I look out back and see two workers horseplaying. A gentleman came out to get another patient who arrived after us. I then went up to the window and asked how much longer as I had been waiting over an hour at this point I thanked the young lady at the check in window and sat back down. She then returns to the window laughing in my face and said just another minute I thanked her again. Then out of no where the older woman at the check out counter opens the window and said very rudely you've. Even waiting an hour bc your kids had back to back hour appointments. I said I was their aunt and was filling in. She they started to interject again. I told her it had already been handled and she could go back to what she was doing. They then continued to talk about me and my family saying the mother was here then she came. Then to make matter worse when my sister followed up as requested by the Dr. the office manager admits they were talking about customers in the waiting room. Seriously that's how you run a business? Beyond upsetting and completely unprofessional.

I went into the dentist today and experienced the worst customer service. I would recommend updating your information on walk in's so customers are aware that you only accept walk-ins during certain time's.

Not professionals. It was like the actual dentist quit and they had to fulfill appointments so they handed a receptionist a drill and sent her to work. All in all, these people legitimized my fear of dentists and now I can't go back to get the rest of the work done.
For a person with anxiety about dentists and doctors, Doctor Danko was amazing. First dentist I ever had that was able to make me comfortable and relaxed. Then they lost her and I got left with the replacement and her assistant that basically butchered me for about an hour with unsuccessful numbing injections, excessive pressure, non stop air, way to much drilling and audibly cringing and generally sounding unsure and incompetent throughout her work. She also made sure to dodge accountability for her mistakes and actually try to make me feel guilty. I was there to have a filling done and they managed to escalate it to a situation that required a temporary cap, a crown and then would have to get a root canal eventually to save the tooth. To which I replied, forget that, I'd rather just extract it. She seemed very relieved that I was ok with losing the tooth but had she not botched a simple filling in order to upsell me to a long string of unnecessary procedures, my tooth would be fine. Don't go here if you can help it.

Was refused vital medical treatment based on my age...... This is wrong.
How can a place be community when it practices age discrimination

Litterly the worst dentist office in Maine. I had an appointment and when I got there the whole place was empty and locked up. Yes I confirmed the date and everything, me and my dad called multiple times but no one picked up. I'm in high school, I have work to do I missed a whole class just for the place to be empty I'm a busy person and don't have time to waste on this kinda stuff. My grade is already suffering cuz of this. Do better.

Don't even say you offer emergency services when you won't even treat the patient when they come in. You go in and wait and they don't even guarantee you'll even be seen at all, and if you do get seen they'll just do a exam and maybe make you a appointment to actually take care of your problem. And the appointment will most likely be weeks or months out. Again, don't say you offer emergency services when you won't even treat them same day.

I have mainecare for insurance and most places judge and treat you very different than if you were to have any other insurance. When I first started going there everyone, the receptionist, assistants and dentists were so incredible nice! They dentist explained everything to me and they did everything to get me in to get all my work done asap. They are all just really nice and very informative. Answered all my questions and never got frustrated with me
I recommend anyone to come here. They really care about you and saving your teeth!

Super quick tooth removal and even helped me get paperwork to send to another dental office that can take out my wisdoms under anesthesia. Staff was extremely nice and treated me like an actual patient even though I was an emergency walk in.
