I've been seeing Dr. Doug for many years now, and once again had a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and I was seen promptly. Dr. Doug was very thorough in his review and care of my teeth. He calmed my worries about flossing in an upper area of my mouth. When I mentioned my issues with TMJ he offered me a gel pack to try and clued me in to some important questions for an upcoming appointment with another doctor. I highly recommend Drewyer Dentistry!

My original dentist of 15 years sold his practice to Dr. Drewyer. I went today to have a routine checkup and cleaning. After taking xrays, the hygienist said i had a lot of tarter build up and would need 4 deep cleanings and she could not do a regular cleaning on me. I told her i could not do the deep cleanings until next year when additional monies would be added to my FLEX account so please do a regular cleaning for now. She said she couldn't and then had Dr. Drewyer come in. He was more ridiculous than she was. Here is is trying to tell me why he can't do a regular cleaning and then said it would be considered malpractice!! Honestly!!?? My blood pressure went sky high and I walked out! He is all about making money - you can tell by his office. Will never go back to him.

I HIGHLY recommend Drewyer Dentistry. I have been a client for 28 years now! I wouldn't have it any other way. I've added my 3 other family members and provided referrals as well. Drs. Doug and Austin, Jean, Barbara and all the hygienists and staff provide excellent service and care. They are consistently professional, flexible and available to help with a full range of care for all ages. We are extremely pleased with their service and look forward to their continued care for years to come. I actually look FORWARD to my dental visits!! I hadn’t been to a dentist in about a year when I made an appointment at Drewyer Dentistry. To say I was nervous they would find something wrong is an understatement. Dr. Austin Drewyer immediately made me feel comfortable and put me at ease by talking me through each step of my entire appointment, and providing a rationale for everything along the way. Dr. Douglas Drewyer poked his head into my exam room to say hello and thank me for coming.

This father-son team is awesome and the other staff members are courteous and friendly, too. I will definitely be going back for years to come!!

We've been going here for years - what a change it was from all the dentists' offices we had tried before! Dr. Douglas Drewyer and his staff (especially Barbara and Jean, who have been there for years) are wonderful, and make the whole process easy. Dr. Austin Drewyer is a great addition to the practice too.

About 18 months ago, and based on a friend's recommendation my husband and I made an appointment at Drewyer Dentistry for a dental exam and cleaning. Mine was with Dr. Austin, my husband's appointment was with Dr. Doug. While driving home my husband and I both commented that it was probably the most thorough dental exam that we've ever had done. After that visit my husband and I decided that it was time to change dentists. During my husband's dental exam, and based on what he saw, Dr. Doug suggested that perhaps he should consider having himself tested for the possibility of sleep apnea. This was the first time that such a suggestion had ever been made to him, but he is so glad Dr. Doug did. It has made a very big difference! At my next visit Dr. Austin carefully explained the dental work that needed to be done, and took the time to answer my questions in a way that I could easily understand. I have always found Dr. Austin and Dr. Doug easy to talk to, good listeners, and both come across as warm and caring. They obviously "care" about the well-being of their patients. Before Dr. Austin, Dr. Doug or the dental hygienist start a dental procedure they take the time to carefully explain what they are going to do, and answer my questions. They also let me know that, if I need to "pause" , just let them know. This reassured me that my "comfort" was important to them Having good communications with my doctor or dentist is very important to me. At no point have my husband or I ever felt that we made the wrong decision in switching dentists. We are very happy that Drewyer Dentistry is now taking care of our dental needs. With Dr.. Doug and Dr. Austin's expert knowledge, their "soft touch," the latest in dental equipment, an outstanding, helpful, and friendly support staff, the dental work is completed before I realize it, and "done right the first time." From the time I arrive at Drewyer Dentistry for my appointment, where I am always cheerfully greeted by Barbara and/or Jean, I know that I am "in good hands". My mouth has never been in as good a shape as it is now. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, competent, courteous, caring, friendly and understanding "team" of dental professionals who go that "extra mile" to meet your dental needs consider giving Drewyer Dentistry in Burtonsville a call. All systems go for Drewyer Dentistry. My husband, his parents and his siblings, of which there are 11, as well as myself and our children have been going to Drewyer Dentistry since day one. Dr Doug has an incredibly calm voice and presence throughout any dental procedure. He is with you every step of the way. The other day, I had a" not so fun" procedure done. We all know those. Dr Doug and his dental assistant, Robin, operated like a well oiled machine. A very calm experience for one of those "not so fun" procedures. All of my kids looked forward to going to the dentist when they were young. They would even ask when they would be going to sit in that comfy chair. I "kid" you not! Dr Doug has a way with the kids. Claire, who is my 19 year old, recently went to see Dr Austin, Dr Doug's newest addition to Drewyer Dentistry, and, is his son. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Dr Austin yet, but Claire said, "He is very friendly, straightforward, and honest." Drewyer Dentistry is it for us. We will keep going back! Mary Riley
