Always love going to judd dentistry. The people there are always happy and every one is very friendly and nice . I've moved away from Columbia and tried two other dentist but was very unhappy with the result. Now I make the long drive from North East Baltimore to Columbia because I'm so happy with judd dentistry. Barb is my favorite hygienists she makes you feel comfortable and she's very passionate about her job. The atmosphere at Judd dentistry is very welcoming and everyone is genuinely kind . There's also no long waiting time to be seen even though you're running late . THERE IS ONLY ONE DENTISTRY I WOULD RECOMMEND AND ITS JUDD YOU'LL BE HAPPY YOU DO .

Today was my first visit. I never felt so comfortable at a dentist office in my life. The whole staff is awesome. The technology is amazing, and the way they inform you great.

As always, Judd Dentistry is one of the most professional and efficient dental teams - giving excellent care - and with a friendly staff that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk into the office until you leave. Truly an EXCELLENT team!

Always a great experience at Judd Dentistry. They took me back on time, explained all the procedures and the cleaning/exam was quick and painless. It makes going to the dentist downright enjoyable.

Professional, reliable and friendly costumer service. I had to change my appointment last minute and was told there wouldn't be anything available for another few months. I got a call back later in the day to be seen the very next day. I know this can't happen all the time, but I appreciate the effort by Judd dentistry to accommodate my schedule.

Staff is always gentle and thorough. I have a strong gag reflex and sensitive teeth but I've never had an issue at Jusd. Also, great COVID precautions. I feel safe going into the office.

I had one appt. at Judd Dentistry back in winter 2014, with Dr. Julie Chu, and was going to just let my bad experience go unrated. However, I now feel compelled to review after subsequently moving from the area and going to my next routine dental appointment with a different, highly-rated dentist in CT.

The facilities at Judd Dentistry are pretty modern and appealing, however the staff and dental care seem to be woefully lacking. Dr. Judd may be good (from the reviews that I see on here), but Dr. Chu was probably the worst (or close to the worst) that I have ever visited.

First on the list of problems was my "comprehensive" oral exam. They took partial X-rays and didn't review any of them with me. In contrast, my new dentist in CT took the time to go through every chart with me and explain what we were seeing. Next, Dr. Chu went through my mouth with an explorer (the dental pick) and did the "stick test" to find cavities. She ended up labeling 5 or 6 teeth with cavities ---- never in my life have I had more than 1 or 2 cavities identified at an appt, and I rarely get them (1 or 2 every 3-4 years). Also, never in my life have I had those cavities identified solely by the explorer "stick" test --- it is normal practice to review the x-rays and confirm the problem before drilling. Nope, Dr. Chu was confident in her diagnosis and was ready to drill and fill all 5 teeth ASAP. Being very wary of this, and having no immediate problems or pain with my teeth, I never returned to have these fillings done.

Fast forward to 6 months later, when I go to one of the top-rated dentists in the state of CT. I went for my comprehensive exam yesterday and was treated to a full explanation of my x-rays, a detailed explorer stick test, oral cancer screen test etc. The dentist identified 2 small cavities. Two. Not Five. Six months later. Did the other 3 cavities heal by themselves? Or was Dr. Chu either trying to scam me or being very overly-aggressive and cavalier in her diagnosis? I will never know, but what I do know is that I was right to not trust her judgement and her very liberal interpretation of the dental explorer/pick stick test method.

In addition to this 5 cavity debacle, the entire appointment felt rushed, potentially because it was a late afternoon appointment. After my brief oral exam, the dental hygienist kept repeatedly inquiring me about what date would work for me to schedule my 5 fillings --- she was trying to set this up while I was getting my teeth cleaning done (i.e. mouth filled with toothpaste). How was I supposed to even answer? Don't you set future visits up during check-out, AFTER your cleaning? The entire situation was very bizarre.

The cleaning was also the worst cleaning that I have ever had. My teeth usually feel good, smooth and polished after a cleaning. After this visit, my teeth felt barely cleaner than after my typical nightly brushing. Even without the cavity debacle, the very weak cleaning and strange next appointment interrogation during my cleaning would have given me reason to never come back to this dentist again.

Upon finishing up with me, Dr. Chu and her hygienist hurried me out of the office and rushed off to their cars with some of their friends, obviously eager and pleased to be done with the day (It was 5:30 PM.....apparently a very late day for them).

The entire visit seemed unprofessional, rushed, and impersonal. I urge all future prospective patients to do their due diligence, and if anything, only schedule with Dr. Judd (if she indeed is actually much better than Dr. Chu). However with my experience there, I would urge you to avoid this entire dental office like the plague, unless you like things such as paying for weak cleanings and getting diagnosed for unnecessary fillings.

Professional and friendly staff -- very thorough. They care a great deal about the health of your teeth and gums. They have taken a lot of precautions to keep the staff and patients safe through the pandemic.
