I had been seeing Dr. Marroghi on and off for 5 years without any problems. Last week I came in for a routine cleaning and felt somewhat anxious, but settled down, and took a seat. I quickly grounded myself from the panic, and apologized to the staff and other patients for getting excitable. The dentist said that there's "nothing wrong with me" and yet she couldn't treat me because of my anxiety, akathisia and bipolar disorder. Thanks for making me feel ashamed of who I am and denying services despite the fact that I scheduled an appointment weeks ago. This is social marginalization. Screw you guys, honestly.

Update: DO NOT GO HERE!
After two years of dentistry cleanings denture/partials and regular xrays, I have been asked to leave!
Unbelievable!
So let me say first.. she was gentle.
However, that hardly makes up for shoddy work.
After discovering that the same tooth she filled had a cavity, she asked me to leave!!!
ONLY BECAUSE I ASKED HER HOW I COULD POSSIBLY HAVE A CIVITY ON THE TOOTH SHE ALREADY WORKED ON, saying that the previous filling was on the outside and this one is on the inside"..!?? How could a cavity in the same tooth go unnoticed with all the exrays and cleanings I've had?
So. IMO she didn't want to fix it and couldn't bill it again, so she told me that I'd be better off seeing a different dentist.
Could it be that I asked her assistant (sister) to cover her nose with her mask when she was close to or working on me? (Which, as of the last visit, she was still wearing her mask under her nose)
Or maybe it was that I told her front office manager (Mother) that it wasn't cool to smoke in a dentist office (whether it was off hours or not)
Bottom line... I'm not going back.
You can see by my previous review below that I really tried.
.........
I really don't know in what universe these people that leave bad reviews for this dentist live in!
I read them all before I followed my gut feeling and booked an appointment for a first visit and WOW! Im soooooooo glad I didnt listen to the naysayers!
After having horrible experiences for years and the latest one 3 days prior at a different dentist, I left this office feeling hopeful for the first time in more than 25 years!
I will continue to update my experiences because im feeling like this awesome woman dentist is really deserving of some great reviews.
She was calm, gentle and reassurung.
She took the time to make me comfortable by actually listening and explaining the treatment plan.
She reassured me and she had a very gentle approach.
The visit took a bit longer than other places, however, I'd much rather be a few minutes delayed than not to have my needs met, and be rushed out the door before all my questions are answered.
Besides, the request for approval for my procedures was already being done before I walked out! And the refferalls I needed were all completed and documents ready.
Great office staff as well!
Im actually looking forward to the next visit to bring me closer to a smile I can be proud of!

Have never seen such an unorganized dental practice. First off the old lady at the desk is very mean and rude and seemed to be stealing money paid cash. The lady making the appointments was overworked speaking with multiple patients at once with no help. Everyone seemed to be angry. Run go somewhere else, there are plenty of great dentists out there but this is not one.

Staff is excellent. Dentist not so much 20weeks pregnant sat for an hour and a half had my obgyn send the release form as im having a major tooth ache from a cavity that needs filled and was turned away for being pregnant by her as she doesnt do anything for pregnant woman. Well too bad every other dentist ive now called has NO problem performing a filling on a pregnant woman. I feel as though i was descrimated service because im pregnant and well into my second trimester which is deemed safe and my obgyn okayed it!

Dr. Marroghi and the staff here are very friendly. They can get very busy which I see as a good thing. This office accepts Medicaid which is hard to find and I know they do not get paid well for it (which is why not many dentists accept it) This is really a great community service. Dr. Marroghi is very knowledgable and she is quick. She is always happy to explain procedures to me. Everyone here seems to truly be compassionate and willing to help patients in any way they can.

Refused to fax over my referral for an extraction. The dentist said the tooth could cause bone disease due to the condition. In order to book the extraction with the oral surgeon at U of M I need the referral faxed there. Woman stated no one there right now can use a fax machine and that it will take about three days to be faxed. Horrible front desk staff.

First off worst dentist ever!! About seven years ago I had a root canal done the dentist did not get all of the root, I went back several times after complaining about pain and the crown fell off! They did nothing and didn’t care after they got the money in their pocket! I went to another dentist and they cleaned it out and refilled it and also missed the root! So now I am looking to get the tooth pulled today after spending over 3,000.00 on it and it could have been all solved if this dentist took time out to see what the problem was and to fix it before it went this far! They don’t care about you once they get your money!! I would not recommend anyone to go here poor service and they don’t care bout their patients!!

This IS NOT A DENTIST. I don't even know her name because she met me twice total, when I had to get a full set of dentures. Once, the day OF "surgery," & the day after the procedure where she did nothing but pull teeth and over charge my Medicaid to the point the state is calling me. She's crooked. What dentist do you know that "takes all of your teeth out," but left a tooth in there, for fun, I guess? She's sloppy and absolutely disgusting. She'll see me one day in court. Mark. My. Words.

Pick any other place in Oakand County! By far the worst customer service, work done, and cheapest materials used... The Dentists only do fillings all cleanings are done by local volunteers that are rushing though each cleaning to fit everyone in... I was charged twice many times for one visit because the over worked resptionist didn't mark that i had already paid. My name was also nearly sent to collections because of a procedure the dentist told me was covered by my insurance then was billed for later on... When I calmly explained that the dentist said it was covered the receptionist accused me of being a liar and hung up on me and refused to take any further phonecalls to deal with the issue... TRUST ME when I say to go ANYWHERE else if you have a choice!!!
