My 10 year old grandson had a very bad experience with a prior dentist. Because of that we elected to change dentists & starting seeing Dr. Woods. He sincerely takes an interest in his patients & because of his reassuring & gentle ways my grandson no longer dreads going to the dentist. As a result of such a good experience I also started seeing Dr. Woods. The entire office staff is a pleasure & truly cares. Another plus is you do not sit in the waiting room for any length of time. If your appointment is at 10:00 a.m. then you are seen at 10:00 a.m.. It is nice to have doctor respect your time as well & not leaving you waiting for any length of time. Could not be more satisfied Dr. Woods and his office. Always a very nice experience.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Woods for several years. He and his staff are all top notch. They are very professional. Dr. Woods really cares about his patients and makes you feel comfortable. Every time we have been to this clinic they have been on schedule. No long waits in the waiting room!

Don't go to this man! My wife of 40 years recently had the most horrifying experience of her life! We had to find a new dentist and it was an emergency situation because of the pain my wife was feeling. We found Dr Wood when we searched for In-between dentists through our insurance company. Though the staff was friendly and courteous Dr Wood was not. Barely a handshake and not much else. This in itself would have been merely annoying but the pain he caused my wife was much more than that. From the first prick if the needle she was in more pain than when she arrived. The pain continued three separate vials of Novocaine and never abated. This was a double extraction and during the second one my wife's pain e hiscalated so the doctor gave her another injection. But my wife was still in pain! And during all this time the doctor seemed to take no notice of that pain. And the pain has continued a month later. Due (we believe) to his rough handling during extraction she has has four bone fragments work there way out. She also has two bone 'spurs' that haven't broken loose yet a d may require a clipping and filing procedure to end her pain. Please, if you value your mouth, do not go to this man.

The BEST Dentist in DeSoto County, hands down!!! He’s quick yet thorough. His staff is amazing!! I went for a tooth extraction yesterday, and the procedure went very smooth from beginning to end! Once numbed, he had that tooth out in less than 20 seconds. I’d recommend him to anyone!!!

Ok, I don't ever post reviews, however I need to review this dentist. In early September 2016, I needed to find a new dentist as my old one was no longer in network. I went to Stanley for a cleaning. After reviewing my x-ray he said the only remaining wisdom tooth I had should probably be extracted to avoid future issues. My previous dentist never said anything about it but I figured if I needed to do it I should just get it over with. On a Friday morning I went in to have it removed. He really struggled with it, he had one hand pressing my cheek and the other hand pulling my tooth. I have a high pain tolerance but I had to stop him twice because it got so rough. But, whatever, I can handle that, big deal. When he finishes he says he wants me to come in on Monday because it was such a tough extraction. Here's where it gets fun..... my whole chin and half of my mouth never regained feeling. Where I did have feeling? The extraction site. So Monday morning I tell him I'm in pain, and I can't feel half of my face. He barely looks in my mouth and says "sometimes after nerve damage, you don't get feeling back" I was in shock. I'm NEVER GOING TO REGAIN FEELING??? He shrugs it off and tells me about a part he has that has no feeling. I am distraught. My mother has me go to her dentist, who is out of network but at this point I don't care anymore. He evaluates me and says it could take a long time for feeling to come back but eases my fear and says I don't appear to have a severed nerve or facial paralysis, then treats me for dry socket that immediately feels better. Stanley couldn't even do that for me. So here it is, over 6 months later and I still have some numbness and dull sensation which I believe could be 'Persistent paresthesia'. Each night my mouth feels slightly swollen. I really don't know my next step as most the things I read online say to give it 6 months to a year. Anyway, if you're looking to visit this dentist, just make sure you don't value feeling returning after novocaine. Obviously I'm sure not all his patients have the outcome I did, but good luck on your gamble!

I have utilized Dr. Woods facilities on multiple occasion for dental work, and I have never left there disappointed with their service! Dr. Woods and his staff is willing to go the extra mile to make your experience with them a great one; therefore if you're looking for a great place to keep your smile healthy look no further ....

I give the dentist 5 stars... the office staff are all very very nice... tooth extracted no problems... my PROBLEM is, I'm allergic to alot of medications.. they had my list.. because of this I look up all medicine given me..I was just given a prescription for pain that is on my "kill me" list... glad i'm pro active.. not ready to die yet.. my confidence level just went to zero..unacceptable!!
