If there were a "10 stars" option, Dr. Wheeler and the great staff at Primrose Dental would absolutely get that rating from me. (And the thing is - they really didn't perform any procedures on my son). The 10 stars rating would be just for the fact that everyone in that office is just decent and considerate.
I realized, when my son an I showed up at Primrose Dental last Monday morning, that I , in fact, had made the appointment for my son at some other dental clinic in town. Embarrassing, yes. But since Dr. Wheeler offers emergency care AFTER HOURS AND ON WEEKENDS, I had already spoken with him about my son's horrifically painful abscessed tooth the previous Saturday night - when Dr. Wheeler CALLED ME BACK after I left a message for him an hour before.
(Unfortunately, Dr Wheeler was out of town at that point or I'm sure he would have offered his services then)
Monday, in the office, even though we had no appointment, Dr. Wheelers staff took down my son's information, and worked him into their schedule that morning. My son was in too much pain for any procedure to be done while conscious, so Dr. Wheeler directed his staff to set an appt for my son with Dr. Meyer at the OMS Clinic not too far away. They confirmed with me and my son that this is what we wanted, and they set it all up. An appointment for my son to have a tooth extracted under sedation....like, in 3 hours. So, after the staff confirmed the appointment, that we were to be seen at 1:30 that day, yay,,,woohoo!!!
And the best part is that Dr Wheeler looked over my son's chart, and said, "since the x-rays were emailed over from your previous dentist, there will be no chArge for today. Wow. What a nice guy. My son is fine and getting better but I wanted to make sure that Dr. Wheeler and his staff are so vwr* much appreciated! Thank you all!

Staff are liars, and rude. You will receive a bill months later. I asked before leaving if everything was taken care of, financially before leaving. Also, the repair on my tooth broke off within a couple months. I knew after Dr Wheeler kept grinding on my tooth for a small cavity, the outcome wouldn't be good. I said something in regards to it. Dr. Wheeler said it's like a popcorn kernel in your tooth. It feels larger than actually is. Going to Primrose dental was the biggest mistake ever!!!

I was so relived when I was able to book a last minute appointment at their office due to a cancellation. The lady on the phone was so sweet and gave some instructions on how to ease the toothpain prior to the visit. Appointment was scheduled at 3:45, was told to come in at 3:30 to do paperwork. Asked around 4:05 to see if we were up soon, room is being prepared. Almost 4:25, almost closing time. People going in with appointment times later than ours. I asked again what is going on, one of the staff members said my appointment was at 4..? At this point we are very confused. A procedure had taken longer longer average but we were never informed. Why not just tell us this in the first place? We came exactly on time, did what we were told to do. Never did once someone come out to inform us what was the hold up. After almost an hour, my mother and I left.

I was truly looking forward to a good experience. I have been in Healthcare for quite a while and I understand if an exam takes a while. However just a small word and letting know truthfully what is happening can make a difference for a patient in any setting. The consistent excuses for holding up time - "cleaning up a room, your exam was actually at 4". This was unbelievable. We came to this place for a solution and found ourselves in a bigger mess. This situation was not treated as an emergency but more of last minute... "lets squeeze you in to see and what happens" type of deal.

I hate hate leaving bad reviews but this was truly an experience I will never forget. This was just a inconsiderate and awful visit. I also agree with the last two reviews about staff mannerisms. Unapologetic, excuses, just not what I expect from a healthcare setting at all.

I had a wisdom tooth that was causing a nasty infection in my mouth. Had been on antibiotics from urgent care for a couple of days and nothing was helping. Finally I decided I could not wait for my dental visit Thursday and called around for a dentist that was open at 4:30pm on a Saturday before Easter. Dr. Wheeler got me in and quickly and painlessly removed the tooth in question. VERY reasonable pricing as well. He did an amazing job and I will for sure be recommending him!

Can someone tell me how they have emergency call and no one answered. The No Cap is when Dr Wheeler got on the line an said his name and told me that I was not a patient that fits the bill. All because I was getting government assistance. Boycott Dr wheeler

Buyer beware! Staff is rude and incompetent. Does not inform in advance about “office” policies regarding preauthorization for treatment even when the procedure they are preforming doesn’t require preauthorization from your insurance, they then expect you to pay for the covered treatment prior to them submitting a claim to said insurance. You then have to wait for Primrose Dental to issue you a refund. Completely asinine and ridiculous way of doing business!

Highly recommend!!!! Dr. Wheeler and his staff are amazing! I called to get a tooth pulled. They got me in on the same day and I was out of the office within 45 minutes!! Thank you!!

HORRIBLE experience! Dr Wheeler did not seem to care about my level of comfortability with the proposed procedure and also made very rude comments when I expressed anxiety. Dentists like this are the reason people have anxiety regarding dentits. I would NEVER do business with the company. If you value a good experience wit a dentist I would NOT go here!!! Sad thing is.....the front office staff is so friendly and kind. Definitely a false impression of what goes on in the back.

My husband and I went today for our first appointments. Everyone was so friendly and kind and we loved how each person we came into contact with was so nice! Loved how they took time to explain each part of the visit. Would highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Wheeler is extremely personable and friendly. He utilizes today's medical technology well; he took pictures of my teeth with a tiny camera and showed them to me on a monitor. This cool technique opened up a new layer of trust between us, since Wheeler could tell me what my teeth needed in laymen's terms with the pictures as a visual aid. The atmosphere of the office has a very "Midwestern" feel to it - both the secretaries and employees are open and casual.
