I went to Dr curry today due to some horrible pain I had on my left side. I am absolutely terrified of dentists and was so nervous when I arrived. I can't praise the staff enough. They made me feel at ease and we're super helpful. Dr curry was great! He didn't know if he could save my tooth due to me having cracked it but got in there and was able to save it. My pain is a world better and he was so nice! Best experience I have ever had hands down at a dentist office. They will definitely have my business and my family's business from here on. The office was super clean as well which is always a huge plus to me. Thanks to an amazing team there! Wish I could give more than 5 stars honestly!!!

Horrible dentist office. We started taking our kids here this past year for regular cleaning. My son age 6 had a cavity that needed filled. We went in for the appointment and once back in the room they started on my son. He was very calm and listened to directions, they on the other hand were very rude and rough on him kept getting on to him bc he wasn’t opening his mouth wide enough for them. He's a small 6 yr old and his mouth is not very big. He held it as wide as he could, they then put a wedge in there and forced it open. The dentist, Curry, and his assistant, Robin, were arguing back and forth over my son. Curry kept getting on to the assistant on how she was sitting and where she needed to hold tools and when to give him the tools and she was acting very childish and throwing a fit through it all. She was slamming tools and being rude to my son. Once they finally finished we left and my son immediately started crying when we made it to the car. He said he was in pain and didn’t ever want to go back there, he loves going to get his teeth cleaned so I knew he just had his first bad experience 😕 I told him we would never go back. Now almost 2 months after his gums right under that tooth swelled into a bubble. We took him to a different dentist and found out that they drilled too far down and hit is nerve which caused his tooth to die. He now has to have that tooth pulled. That tooth was not supposed to come out till 11 or 12 yrs of age. The new dentist showed me his X-rays and the filling went down into his nerve. Which is why he was hurting the following day after having it filled by Curry.

Hello, I am Dr. Curry.
I chose to put my comments in the review of my own business because there was no other way to give my side of the story for the review that follows mine. First of all I was frankly shocked and saddened by the comment and review by M Haslett. Their family has been my patients for a good long while. We value the relationship that we have with all of our patients and their families.
They did recently bring their son to my office for his first time dental care. It was in May of 2017 when I met their 6 year old son for the first time. When we examined and xrayed his teeth during the course of a regular dental checkup, I found that he had 3 teeth in need of filling due to moderately deep decay. Two of them were worse than the 3rd one. I showed his parents on the xray how deep the decay was and that we should immediately treat these teeth. I advised them that he should keep the teeth for as long as possible so that his permanent teeth would come in straighter.
I felt that they understood the gravity of the situation, yet they waited 4 full months to schedule him for the needed treatment.
When he came for the first filling visit we chose the worst looking one to fill first. This visit was excellent for him and for us. I found that although the decay was deep and very close to the nerve, I decided to place only a filling and not opt for the more extreme nerve involvement treatment called a pulpotomy because I did not deem it necessary.
We always strive to do conservative, minimally invasive treatments for all of our patients. Many teeth in the same condition as his was heal just fine with only a filling.
We then scheduled him for the second and third filling that he needed. When he came for the second visit, there was no mention of anything that would concern us about our treatment of him. If there had been, we would have addressed it at that time. He was less enthusiastic about letting us do the work that day. Having said that however, we were very gentle with him during the numbing procedure and the actual filling of the teeth.
He does have a small mouth as most 6 year old children do. After several attempts to patiently and politely get him to "open wider please", I decided that I needed to use a child's mouth prop to help him to stay open. This helped us to keep his cheek and tongue from being injured. We never forced his mouth open.
We then finished the two fillings and let the patient go. Both of these teeth also had deep decay, but I still believed that the nerve treatment was not necessary and explained that if he had any trouble whatsoever that they should return and we would help him.
My assistant , whose name is NOT Robin by the way, never threw anything, never became angry, and we did not argue. Although his parents were in the room while we were treating him, they never said a word to us during this time.
It was approximately 2 months later that we heard that they were really upset and had been to some other unnamed dentist who said I had "drilled into the nerve." She also told us that she had felt it was necessary to smear my reputation with the 1-star review that she gave.
I believe that if the other dentist did remove the tooth as she stated, then this is the wrong treatment he should have received. I affirm that the tooth should have been saved, even if it needed further treatment. I always treat my child patients as I would treat my own grandchildren.
I value my 34 year practice in Willard Missouri, and I value my relationship with all of my fine patients.

sincerely,
Ernest E. Curry DDS

Horrible experience.. probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. Took my son in for a tooth that was bothering him. He is 5. Took X-rays even though I had his sent over from previous dentist. The doctor came in for maybe 5 mins to tell me he basically should of just stayed at his old dentist. He had horrible bed side manor. Ended up paying over $120 for them to tell me he had a cavity and to go back to my old dentist bc they are probably better with kids.
