Shelby Dental Family Dentistry

Dr. Shelby and the staff that work there are fabulous, I have never been to a dentist that has been so wonderful, I want to thank them for being so great.

Dr. Shelby and his staff are very friendly and professional! I leave with my teeth sparkling! :) I had a wisdom tooth removed yesterday and I feel perfectly fine. Dr. Shelby is gentle, makes sure I am comfortable, and tells me exactly what is going on. So glad I found them!

Dr. David Shelby and his wonderful staff have cared for my husband and me the past 24 years. He is always personable, professional, and straightforward about dental procedures, etc. His staff always makes us feel comfortable and welcome. We highly recommend anyone to trust Shelby Dental with their dental care, concerns, and needs.

This dental office is one of, if not the best in Missoula. Dr. Shelby and all of his staff are very cordial people who immediately give relaxing and calm feelings when entering the office. Coupled with the excellent work they do on your teeth, it makes one want to spend time at a dentist's office! In all seriousness though, I can't recommend this office highly enough. I have been going to Dr. Shelby for many years now, and I haven't been disappointed in the slightest in their work. If you're looking for a new dentist, try Shelby Dental.

If there was a way to leave less than one star I would. Nearly 2 years after having a root canal and crown it still is giving me grief. Shelby works ungloved, with unsanitary tools, and then is surprised when people get infections. The manager and assistant are rude, call patients by the wrong names and send out duplicate bills. The whole place is a joke. Only saving grace is the sweet younger gal who was his assistant who I pray works elsewhere.

I appreciate how Dr. Shelby explains in detail what's going on with my teeth, what needs to be fixed, the different options, and the cost. I can tell that he truly cares about me and wants the best for me and my teeth in the long run. He won't just cover things up with a band-aid and send you home. I am involved in the whole process from the start and I don't feel rushed. I would recommend him to anyone.

In 2001 a piece of my tooth broke off and the filling fell out. The dentist told me that my tooth was dead, and I needed a root canal. I did not think my tooth was dead because I had no symptoms, so I did not want a root canal. None of the many dentists I consulted would fill my tooth. In desperation, I went to a dental lab technician for advice because he knew all the dentists in Missoula and made crowns for them, etc. He told me that Dr. Shelby was the best dentist in town and was his personal dentist. Dr. Shelby determined that my tooth was not dead and did not need a root canal. He simply put a filling in my tooth and my tooth has been just fine ever since. I never got any infection in the tooth. Dr. Shelby saved me tons of money by doing a filling instead of a root canal. Dr. Shelby is extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly, easy going, and competent. His office is very clean and sanitary. His charges are comparatively low. I have gone to Dr. Shelby ever since 2001 and have always recommended him to my friends and family. We have all been really pleased with him and his friendly staff.

I have known Dr. Shelby for many, many years and I have always been very pleased with his work! He is a very caring, professional Dentist that takes great pride in his work.Even though nobody really likes going to the Dentist I always enjoy seeing everybody there and their warm welcomes as well as how they all really care about me :) I couldn't ask for a better Dentist and I strongly recommend Dr. Shelby and his team!

Not a good place. They messed up more than one of my teeth and started doing things on multiple teeth that weren't finished. Now I am having even more problems with those same teeth and have been charged the full price for things that aren't finished! I will never return to this place. Very unprofessional staff and he is very rough on his patients. Nightmare place.

I am a Dental assistant of 15 years. I was very impressed with the compassion of the staff and how well they work together. I was greeted with a smile and treated like I was family.

I have been looking for a new job where the staff was truly happy and work well together. Too many clinics say they work for their patients and show the exact opposite. I was very impressed with my job interview at Dr. Shelby's office.

I have interviewed with 4 clinics in the past week. Some of the staff that I have encountered were less than impressive. The staff interviewing me was sharp with their tone of voice and acted like they must treat their patients in the same way. I did not find this at Dr. Shelby's office.

People who are clueless about dental and don't really know how Dental works will always find a way to complain about everything. We all know this to be true. Their are some people that no matter how hard you try, you just can't make them happy.

X-rays are necessary for proper detection of Dental care. Cleanings are extremely important on keeping your teeth. Doctors don't recommend TX just to pay off their debts as some would like to believe.

I love being a dental assistant and taking care for my patients. There are too many clinics in and around Missoula that could really careless about their patients. And their front office staff is less than impressive. And what is up with the tone of the staff over the phones?

That being said, their are truly fabulous Dental clinics in and around Missoula... Dr. Shelby's office would be at the top of my list as one of Missoula's best dental clinics for patient care.

Dr. Shelby and his staff are wonderful, happy and enjoy what they do to help their community. I fell in love with the staff instantly.

So would I recommend you to Dr. Shelby, oh yes!
