Great place to have dental work done! Staff and Dr. Patel are great!

Dr. Patel did a great job and everyone in the office was friendly. However, we ended up being badly burned by the final bill for the procedures. I had several fillings done and later found out that the quote given to me by the office was a vast underestimate of what insurance would cover -- a $500 difference. Given that I have the most common insurance in the area (Delta Dental through Dartmouth) and this is certainly one of their most common procedures (it's the only type of filling they do at this office), it sure seems like they should be able to give a more accurate quote. I recognize that it's my responsibility to check with my insurance. That said, part of what I look for in a doctor or dentist is someone who seems to have enough concern for their patients' pocketbooks to do their best to give accurate insurance estimates and learn from previous patients' experiences. This is especially when it's local dentist that makes a big point to say that they care about their reputation and understand the community well.

Drs. Patels and their staff are absolutely wonderful! They are very professional and also care deeply for their patients. They have been accommodating to my schedule which sometimes includes having to make a last minute appointment.The office is nicely appointed and the massage chairs are a nice plus.

This is by far the worst dental practice in the Upper Valley. The first two times I went here, people were very nice and I thought I found a good dentist. When I actually had work done boy was I wrong. Don’t be fooled by the nice chairs and atmosphere, they will get you in the bill. When I had work done the assistant had no prior experience, no training and was being told frequently throughout the visit to watch YouTube videos to learn. Their dental assistants are not licensed (apparently schooling/ licensing not a requirement in NH) and they teach them using you as the subject, while you are paying an exorbitant amount of money for the work done. The dental assistant was gagging me and could not figure out how to use the suction for the hour and a half while having work done. I then spoke to the dentist about my experience and she emailed me apologizing and I reiterated it would be nice to know if you have a student and be asked. Their response was dropping me as a patient. I was never going to return so not a big deal, but unprofessional all around. Steer far clear of this place. All the 5 star reviews are posted by them and what people respond to emails, not actually accurate. My friend wrote a nice review and they gave him a discount. If you care about your teeth, wallet, dignity and dental experience don’t go here.

Patel Dental is hands down the BEST dentist's office I have ever been to. As a mother of a newborn, the ladies in the office made me feel completely at ease having to stop and feed the baby, and they even offered to hold him while I had my teeth cleaned. Dr. Alpa Patel came in and introduced herself to me and we had a nice chat. No dentist has ever done that before, and I loved that she cared enough to make time to come and meet me. The hygienists knew just what they were doing- were friendly, efficient, and wonderful to talk to.
I have never had a bad experience with dentists like many people have, but I have been to plenty of them and I was VERY impressed with this practice. Wholly recommend them- they will treat you with kindness and won't try to get you to do a bunch of dental work you really don't need!!

I'm still a relatively new patient with Patel Dental Group, but I've had excellent experiences with my cleanings and fillings in the last year. I actually had my first fillings ever done this year, and Dr. Alpa was extremely thorough, kind, and an absolute expert. She was so considerate of my anxieties going into the fillings and made everything easy and efficient. This also happens to be my first experience managing my own dental care on my own insurance plan (I recently transitioned from my family's health insurance to employer-provided insurance as a Dartmouth employee), and all the staff in the office have been extremely helpful walking me through everything so I can take care of my dental needs. Would definitely recommend the care here!

I grew up going to this dentist office and have had a lot of excellent work performed from the Patel Group. I have two bridges look amazing and brought confidence back to my smile.

Most recently I had a sponarneous accident that caused my porcelain bridge to severely chop and fall out of my mouth entirely. The team was very efficient and helped me out in a very rough patch.

I would recommend this dentist group while heatedly for day to day maintenance and especially for emergencies.

Of all the dental practices I've been to in my 63 years, this is the best, hands down. They've taken care of all my concerns, including prompt emergency treatment that I've needed about 3 times (Dr. Alpa Patel was for an emergency visit & she's great too). It's a small practice, & I've requested - and gotten - the same great hygienist every time, unlike my husband, who goes to a large practice where he never knows whom he'll see (and many of them he doesn't think are very good - I'm trying to persuade him to switch to the Patels). This place has all the most modern equipment - including massaging chairs! - but their prices are in line with other practices in the area. Another thing that they did was, when I needed a very visible front-tooth crown, they really leaned on me to go out of town to get a good color match at a special place that does that. I'm so glad I did - I've seen non-matching front teeth, but mine matches beautifully.
