Go anywhere else. These people just want money your money. Up charges, extraneous procedures and products. On top of it all the admin staff is super incompetent and pushy. Don’t waste your time and money unless you have it to waste.

Dental By Design is a nice dental office.

The hygienist that worked on me was fabulous. I forget her name but she has two cute bulldogs. She’s super friendly and I did a wonderful job on my teeth/gums.

Dr. Tarek is great as well - super personable. He is thorough. For all intents and purposes that’s a great thing but I do find his method of practice is aggressive and thus expensive. I know dentistry is as much an art as it is a science, so there is often room for discernment when it comes to making treatment plans. I also understand every dentist is different. As the patient you just have to advocate for yourself and get a second opinion when something seems extraordinary. For me, Dr. Ts treatment plans were out of the ordinary and extreme in comparison to my well established dental history.

Likewise, my husband, who was also a patient here, got a second opinion for the care that he needed which ended up being less invasive and less expensive procedure than the treatment plan Dr. T proposed.

Also, I had a previous quote for ortho treatment for 3k less than what dental by design wanted to charge me. To be fair the previous quote was from MD, not NH so that may account for the price difference but it still struck me as odd.

To be perfectly honest, we very well may have stayed with Dental by Design despite the exorbitant prices if it weren’t for Terry the administrator. Everybody else was VERY nice but unfortunately she was so unpleasant on so many occasions that my husband and I decided we could no longer spend our money/ time here in good faith. She apparently signed my husband up for a care credit card that he did not want and had no knowledge of??? That was the straw that broke the camels back. Even before the card incident she would call us -what felt like incessantly- trying to gather information (that was previously given to her) /schedule procedures/ collect payments. I understand she has a job to do but it got to the point where it was just rude. Patients are customers after all and customer service is paramount. It’s crazy that we felt harassed by a dental office.

So to reiterate: if you have time to waste I.e dealing with Terry’s mistakes and borderline harassment then I would give them a go. Likewise, if money is no object and you feel comfortable starting with the most aggressive/invasive/ expensive treatment plans then it may be for you. You will definitely get quality care but at the cost of your patience.

Like I said- I would just go somewhere else and spare yourself the headaches.
