I would like to preface this by saying the following is not a reflection of the entire office, just the folks involved with my Clearcorrect treatment.
I have been sitting with this experience for a few weeks and believe that I have processed everything and can now offer my thoughts on it. I started with this office a few years ago (approximately 2015) and discussed my options for treatment of my TMJ. I also expressed some insecurity with how crooked my teeth were. I had decided to start Clearcorrect treatment to straighten my teeth and also provide an aligner to wear at night (and to protect from some suspected teeth grinding.)
I went into the Santa Fe office in Spring of 2016 for impressions. My aligners came in a few weeks later and that’s when I officially started treatment (Mid April.) Things started out really well, with my teeth moving into place very well. The bottom row of my teeth were so crowded that they are what I focused on the most during this process. I was unconcerned with the top row as I was only waiting to turn one tooth.
Around two years into my treatment, I moved to Las Vegas for school. That’s when I moved my Clearcorrect case to the Vegas office. That didn’t make too much of a difference because I was still seeing Mr Valdez. The bottom row of teeth moved into place beautifully and looked absolutely beautiful. Eventually, I came to realize that the top tooth was barely moving. There was a point where I lost an aligner and jumped to the next set. That was the only time I ever did something that may have hindered my progress. I called the office and they assured me that it would be fine.
I ended up having to go through several revision sets of aligners. Each time, nearing the end of my cycle with each set of aligners I got increasingly more worried that I was just wasting my time. I expressed concern about my treatment and the fact that the tooth was barely moving. It seemed like the only option was to order another revision. I honestly don’t know what happened. Maybe my top row was too resistant for this type of treatment. All I know for sure is that I felt dismissed during my treatment. My very last checkup, when I was asked if I wanted to order another revision set I said, “No. I’m done.” When I started this my only goal was to have nice teeth. My crooked teeth were always a deep insecurity for me. I feel like I ended up with teeth that are just okay. That top tooth never fully turned. The doctor was able to make it cosmetically look a little better. I do not feel I got my money's worth. I hesitate to recommend Clearcorrect to anyone based on what I experienced. Having it to do again, I would have gone with traditional braces. I likely would have been done sooner and may even have been able to correct my overbite.

I had began to loose hope when I went to various doctors to see why I was in so much pain. All of whom could not figure out what was wrong with me. One day, I went to Dr. Valdez's office, and he quickly diagnosed me with TMJ. Once he pin pointed the problem, a solution was created to solve the problem. I am now pain free and I can't help but think, had I not went to Dr. Valdez's office, I'd still be in pain. I highly recommend his office. Thank you Dr. Valdez!
