Tried to get my 16 year-old an exam because his wisdom teeth were bothering him. The staff turned him away and then refused to reschedule us. The receptionist and the office manager were absolutely horrible to us. Wouldn't recommend, especially to families on Medicaid.

Top notch dentist office. Super clean. The staff is remarkable. Dr. Wilke is a great guy.

First I want to share that I have had a fear of dentists most of my adult life after having an awful experience with another local dentist. I had horrible pain for years as a result of grinding, acid erosion and lack of proper dental care. I spoke to numerous friends and family and decided on Dr Baker. A large part of my decision was based on having Gentle in their name. I will tell you that Dr Baker definitely lives up to this name!!!!! I have had approximately 6 appointments with extensive work done each time. Fillings, extractions and the latest being four crowns on my front teeth. I will say that after my first visit I never worried or contemplated going back. I have nothing but AMAZING words to speak of Dr Baker and Gentle Family Dentistry. I am so blessed that I found Dr. Baker and grateful for his care and knowledge to totally get my teeth back in shape and out of pain. I highly recommend Gentle Family. Especially if you are like I was and have fear and anxiety when going to a Dentist.

I absolutely LOVE Gentle Family Dentistry. They are the nicest office around. Everyone is GREAT. I have seen negative reviews on here but I'm sure their experience was not caused by the staff. People like to complain about everything these days. Any office would dismiss a patient for missing too many appointments. Especially if you don't call to cancel it. I've worked in a Dental Office before for years and people are rude, demanding and complain about cost. Yes, dentistry is expensive, many things are these days but there is nothing anyone can do about it. I'm sure they do their best. I know they worked with me and helped me get Care Credit so I could pay over time. The girls at the front are wonderful. They went over my treatment plan so I knew exactly what it would cost. I would recommend this office to everyone!!!!

Well, it's taken me some time to finally write this review, but I'd like to share my experience with Gentle Family Dentistry. First, I was a customer of theirs for many years (I believe over 10 to be exact) and was thrilled that this was a Christian based establishment. I would have to say that my dental hygienist (Sara) was wonderful! She was patient and showed kindness at each visit which is why I've rated the business at a 2 versus a 1. I don't like needles, and everything hurts but she was quite skilled at her work. The dentist I had (and I'm not sure which one it was) completed work and to my knowledge I thought it was fine.

As a side note, I recall one day I was there and had a filling done. I went to leave but decided to stop at the restroom first. I looked in the mirror and to my surprise I saw that I had all sorts of gray filling material all over my mouth, but no one had said anything to me about it. This did concern me greatly and I thought to complain, but unfortunately did not.

In any case, without any notice, I was asked to discontinue my service as a customer there about 2-3 years ago because I'd canceled too many appointments. Needless to say, I was shocked by the letter advising me of discontinuation of service and a bit hurt. If I did (and I know that I did) cancel any appointment it was for a good reason.

It took me nearly 2 years to overcome the trauma of being let go as a customer by Gentle Family Dentistry and visit another dentist. I am sure glad that I did too! I was told (in no uncertain terms) that some of the work completed at Gentle Family Dentistry was not good. Now, I’m not a dentist and don’t know for sure, but the new dentist was able to explain to me why I was experiencing some negative things with my teeth that had been that way for many years. In addition, one of the first procedures I had at the new dentist was a deep cleaning. I’d had this same procedure at Gentle Family Dentistry years ago in which it was so painful and uncomfortable. I couldn’t believe how easy this same procedure was at the new dentist. It did not hurt at all!

In summary, I’d just like to say don’t be afraid to explore other options for dental care in our area. There are many quality ones out there!

Never have I been more embarrassed and frustrated. I am someone who takes pride in my credit and ability to provide for myself financially. I received several statements from Gentle Family regarding bills. I called on three different occasions to be told that the office was handling this with my insurance company and not to worry. Late last week I received a not so professionally written letter dated 1/29/20 stating that I had 10 days to pay a $104 bill. Something I could have easily taken care of, however received the letter late. Today I come home to get another poorly written. Letter that states that they were terminating my "doctor/patient" relationship. Never have I received a phone call or any indication that my bill would be going to collections, which now apparently it is? So my credit score will be damaged due to the lack of communication I received. I received better care and communication from Aspen Dental.

I have severe dental anxiety and all of the staff there were beyond compassionate and completely patient with me. I have had my teeth cleaned hygentist explained everything and was thorough. I just had my first of a few scheduled appointments (as some previous dental work is failing all from previous dentists in various places) and it was the best experience I have ever had.

As an existing patient, I made an appointment to deal with a filling problem here and specifically asked to make sure there would be adequate time to fix it. I had to wait a 2-3 weeks to get that appointment even though they knew the tooth was bothering me. The appointment was later in the afternoon. I had to leave work early (missing over 3 hours work) to get there. Then when I arrived, the dentist was running late and I ended up waiting close to an hour in the waiting room. But then when I did finally see him, he pretty much did nothing and made no attempt to work on my tooth. Rather, he dragged out the process of taking an x-ray (it took 25 minutes vs. 5-10 min elsewhere) Then he tells me I had to come back another time to have him fix the tooth. It was still 15 minutes prior to close of their regular hours. Still, this guy couldn't be bothered and not one apology was given for his being so late; nor did he acknowledge that the reason he couldn't do the "scheduled" work was his fault. Needless to say, this was the last time I went there. I got in to see a real dentist that I had no history with sooner than I would have for a second appointment here. The dentist office that I changed to was so much better and I'm so glad I left. Unlike the poor service at Gentle Family Dentistry I can count on assistance when I need it. Notice that this office advertises all the time but you almost never see that with other dentists. I believe this is because few people stay or are willing to put up with the lousy service. A good dentists who has practiced over 10 years doesn't have to advertise.

Gentle Family Dentistry has taken excellent care of my family. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the dental care is as promised in the name....gentle! We do not have dental insurance, so the interest-free line of credit they offer is extremely helpful. Highly recommend.
