Mrs. Vega is the rudest (managers) she literally yelled at me and told me ‘You're wasting an hour in half of the Drs time’ all because I rescheduled. I will never go here with such rude staff. I had to reschedule due to circumstances not in my control and she said I was wasting the drs time. She needs customer service training. She also lied and said ‘she is the owner’ but she is not. STAY AWAY

Worst dentist experience ever. I have lived in several countries and thus been to some 10+ dentists in my life; Dr. Shah was by far the worst experience.
I went for a routine check and cleaning, without any prior pain or issues. This would change after my visit to this dentist. Dr. Shah claimed that I needed two fillings, and I naively agreed immediately as I always trusted my dentists. She did a poor job on one filling (basically she replaced a filling that another dentist had put in a year earlier, without explaining why exactly it's necessary) causing pain and having me return for a second and then third time. The second time was just 2 min of treatment (I waited 2 hours) and she then sent me home. The third time she recommended a silver filling, which despite my initial disapproval she highly recommended. I am now back in Germany with my local dentist and showing the X-Rays to her. 1) No need to have done a re-filling in the first place, X-Rays look fine 2) The current silver filling doesn't entirely close the gap and needs to be redone again, i.e. Dr. Shah did a poor job. 3) Who uses silver fillings these days? No one, except Dr. Shah it seems. My dentist was shocked.
In general, it seems that Dr. Shah saw $ signs on my teeth when I opened my mouth and recommended several extra treatments. None of my prior dentists ever recommended these, and my current dentists also doesn't see a need for Dr. Shah's recommended treatments. Dentist opinions can vary, but since I have several other dentist opinions, Dr. Shah's recommendations are an outlier and seem fishy.
Further, she overcharged me initially. I had to come back and wait for 45 min! just to get a refund. Waiting time, in general, was long, 1-2 hours every time, although I had appointments. She also took her time sending the itemized bill I had requested. I had to call three times! Again, my experience with the 10+ other dentists was vastly different, Dr Shah is an outlier when it comes to transparency, treatment/profession, and greed. There are so many other dentists in New York, don't waste your time, money, and health on this one.
Only positive aspect of this office: the receptionist. Showed empathy, understanding, and urged Dr. Shah to see me as I was waiting for hours.

Her staff was incredibly friendly, and the hygienist who cleaned my teeth was knowledgable and did a great job. When I saw the actual dentist, she wanted to give me a filling because I might have a cavity. I reluctantly agreed to have an x-ray done and even though it showed there was no cavity, she still said I should have a new filling! Clearly, she was out to make money on a procedure I did not need. I see a dentist regularly (as soon as 3 months ago in Singapore where I live) and he did not mention any issues. It also felt as if she was trying to pry off my fillings with her instruments and when I questioned her, she brushed me off. I would highly recommend finding someone else to visit as I do not feel she is trustworthy.

First time I visited them I ended up waiting 1.5 hours before getting my teeth cleaned. She tried to up sell me on anti-biotic for my gum - something no other dentist ever mentioned. After several years I decided to give her another try. Same thing, attempted to up sell me for something not covered by my insurance - but there was poster for it in the exam room, so I guess she must be pushing it for the manufacturer.
She convinced me that I needed bonding for teeth sensitivity. I told her that sensitivity wasn't a problem. The reply was "you should do it, it is covered by your insurance, we can do it now". After waiting an hour she said it would be another 30 minute wait until she could do it. I left.
When I called to schedule the appointment, they said "we can take you today! How about today or tomorrow, all week is open." That is a red flag...anytime you call a doctor and dentist and they have lots of open appointments - don't go there.

I have been going to this dentist for a few years now. Dr. Shah is a great dentist!. Her staff is very friendly (Mrs. Vega, Carolina & Elizabeth) I feel like home when I go there. I have tried other dentists before but I finally found a place where I know I will receive great service.

I regret going to this place, if your thinking about going to this dentist, DONT!!!!!!! they are all about money, the place is dirty, her workers look like they hate working there, they cannot do a proper X-ray and cleaning job, she gave me tooth sealant when i needed fillings just for me to pay out of pocket. Do not make the same mistakes i did. She will tell you things that you don’t need just to get your money, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Dr. Shah is THE worst doctor I've ever seen, in any field. She will not answer a straight question, is condescending and rude. She put a bridge in and then refused to take it out when I came back a year later like she said, now claiming it was supposed to be permanent (which is NOT what she said when it was put in). Run for your life, you'd be better off having a random person on the street clean your teeth with their unwashed hands.

This place is the GRIMIEST dentist I have EVER been to. I actually was cracking up in disbelief after I left the office after about TWO HOURS of waiting and a botched 10 minute cleaning. The man who did my x-rays was very nice, but the office is extremely dirty. I was actually appalled by how dirty the ground was around my cot. Plus side: there was a back massager on the cot. Downside: I could FEEL the dirt around me. There was a literal dent in the wall, visible dust and dirt, and cracked ceilings with faded tiles that had pictures of blue skies and palm trees. However, the pictures were all faded and yellowing. Even the *entrance* was dirty. How do you manage to have every inch of this place totally dirty? My mouth didn’t even feel clean afterwards. Please don’t go here. As my mother told me on the way out: “I’m so sorry, never again.”

I'm terrified of going to dentist but I'm so glad I found Dr. Shah. She's a wonderful dentist. She patient, caring, and gentle. She talks to you to make you feel at ease. Her staff is very friendly, and helpful. I had some dental work done and Dr. Shah gave me my smile back. I'm sticking with her. It's hard to find a great dentist.

listen.. if you can find another dentist, please do. Dr. Meena Shah will drill in your teeth purposely, do shoddy dental work that will need revision and make you pay for things you do not need. not to mention the 1.5 hour wait time tops... dont come here
