Don't buy their in house dental insurance plan, if you decide to leave and go to another dentist, they will NOT refund you the unused portion. I paid over $400 for 2 cleanings and only used one. They will not refund me the money. Wow like a dentist needs an extra $200 for not completing the work. Would not recommend this dentist.

Wow!!!! What an awesome dentist Dr. Parrot is as well as his amazing staff!!! I initially heard about them on the radio and stopped in an made an appointment. I was looking for a new dentist. My other dentist wanted to pull all my teeth and give me dentures but not this place, they are working with me and I am keeping what I have. Great experience here, you won’t be disappointed. Everyone is amazing!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this dental office. I am pretty high anxiety with dental procedures, and they are so nice that I’m immediately comforted as soon as I’m in the chair. They do wonderful work and truly care for their patients. My entire family loves coming here! Would totally recommend to anyone, especially those who are uneasy about getting dental work.

I had the best experience with Dr. V!!!!!! She is super nice and has a way of keeping you calm and making sure you are never in pain or uncomfortable in any way. Was terrified of dentists because of past experiences but have already made another appointment! Thank you so much❤️

This is a difficult review to write. With the exception of one phone call, they've been very nice. They go out of their way to ease anxiety, explain what they're doing in an easy to understand way, and seem to genuinely care for their patients. Their hours are wonderful, opening at 7 am to get in before work, and open some evenings until 7 to get in after work. That is amazing. It's clean in there, has a welcoming feeling, and plenty of parking.

The difficulty in my review comes with billing. I know it is the patient's responsibility to know their own insurance, but I feel like they could've told me, at some point in my husband and I's totaled 5 visits in 3 months, that they didn't participate with our insurance. Someone could have mentioned that we will be receiving an invoice for the uncovered portion of everything, including cleanings. They initially told me they "accept" the dental coverage I have, but with dental insurance, that means something totally different than "participating." So I end up with a big bill that I was NOT expecting. They showed no empathy when I called about it, which irritated me.

They gave us an estimate for the dental work we both needed, and we paid the amount due at the time of service. Then, a few months later, receive a hefty invoice for the remaining balance on those services, plus half the cost of both of our cleanings. It had nothing to do with deductibles or limits. Needless to say I was unhappy. Only then did I find out the difference between "accept" and "participate." Unfortunately we must go elsewhere to a place that won't charge above what our insurance covers for cleanings. I'm sad to do so because the dentists and support staff are so great while you sit in that dreaded chair. But when it comes to billing, I learned a valuable lesson.

I only docked one star for this whole insurance/billing woe because of the other positive aspects of this place. I don't want people thinking the care is awful, because it's not.

In short, I do recommend them for quality work and care. Just know your insurance well before-hand.

Quality of care was excellent in a clean and pleasant office, I received a prompt appointment even as a new patient, and was treated with kindness and respect throughout my appointment. I was impressed, too, by the respect staff members showed each other.

I really appreciate that Dr. Smith took time to explain my treatment and options. I have a difficult mouth, but he handled my problems with care and good explanations. Thank you for getting me in quickly and working on my problems in a surprisingly prompt time. Evaluation was done and work happened without a week or a month's wait. I appreciate it.

I have always liked this dentist office. Never had a problem with them until recently. Had to have a crown put on for a chipped tooth. Normally they would submit a quote to both my insurance companies and have me pay the remaining balance which usually around $50 for any extensive work that needs to be done. Well they tell me the day I show up $507 and I about fell to the ground. Never have I paid that much. I was even told I actually had a credit on my account. Well for some reason the credit turned into an owed bill because they were trying to also charge me for a prior visit for the crown. Brook tried to argue with me and say the bill wasn't paid. Come to find out the bill was pending payment from the insurance company that they just submitted. So now I'm already furious because she at first told me over $600 I had to pay upfront. She was wrong and couldn't even apologize for her mistake. Then come to find out they didn't get a pre authorization from the 2md insurance. They said they would submit that after and credit my account. I told them no I want my refund and not to credit the account. So now its been 2 months since my crown and I have not heard anything. Called my 2nd insurance and they said they issued a check to Cumberland Valley Dental on February 17, 2020 for the amount of $422. Called the dental office and I spoke with Jen. Asked her if my 2nd insurance paid because I hadn't heard from them or seen a refund. She said they got paid back in February and I said can I ask when I'm getting my refund it's been a month, she got rude and snapped saying no one is trying to take your money. I never accused them of that but they were quick to take the money from me why can't I get a refund. She said these things take time. I am so fed up with this office. They have been so rude and unprofessional The dentist and hygienist are amazing its only a few up front. Needless to say I may have to get a lawyer and will be finding a new dentist. Forgot to mention my 2nd insurance told me my dentist office has not sent in any bills for 2 years. So I have been paying not only all remaining balances (shouldn't be any unless extensive work) and I've been paying on an insurance every month for nothing, wasting money. I'm beyond furious.

I developed a very painful ulcer that nearly left me debilitated as it was affecting a nerve running between my jaw and temple. After several nights of no sleep, I found myself searching what could be done about it besides the standard answer I was given by the Urgent Care to wait it out for 1-2 weeks. I found that laser therapy on the ulcer can significantly reduce the healing time and nearly immediately relieve any pain. I called several area Dentists in York/Harrisburg offering this service without luck of any same day availability. I called the 6th dentist, CVDC, and they were able to get me in within hours. I was more than happy to make the 1.5 hour drive there.

The procedure was absolutely painless and it worked! I have had no pain since and I left feeling very grateful towards Dr. Parrett and the friendly staff. I felt like I was in and out in no time. The next day (today), they even called to followup with me to see how I felt. I believe the evidence was that last night I had a full night's sleep and was able to return to work today. I highly recommend this practice!

All of the doctors and assistants have been very friendly. I had a cavity fixed and didn't feel a thing. They make going to the dentist as pleasant as it can be.
