Terrible…Family has been going here for 20 years. Care/Management going in wrong direction. Staff flat out rude. Don’t recommend. Whole family and some switched dentists.

I had to go here as a new patient(April 2022) because 15 other dentists near me weren't taking new patients or my insurance. I got an X-ray done here for an abscessed tooth and a referral slip for an oral surgeon in Dubois, PA. The problem is that the oral surgeon I was sent to only extracts multiple teeth per patient, not just one. On top of that, this oral surgeon was booked until October/ November of this year(abscessed teeth can kill people and it's sad that this isn't considered a medical emergency). Instead, I was prescribed an ENTIRE bottle of antibiotics(Clindamycin) to last me until then...I guess. Turns out I'm allergic to this antibiotic and experienced anaphylactic symptoms and went to the E.R.
I finally found a surgeon that could help me in Harrisburg, PA called WOOD & MYERS. WOOD & MYERS had me come in the day after scheduling an appointment with them. They don't take my insurance, so I had to borrow money from family members. To get an extraction done at W&M it costs over $700(One Tooth). Also, you'll be asked like five times about how you're going to pay for this procedure before any questions about your health condition.
When I called Philipsburg Dentistry to get a referral and X-ray from them for Wood & Myers, they made it a chore and had a condescending tone. They kept pushing for the Dubois oral surgeon even after I told them that it was booked and I had a bad tooth infection. The receptionists here are also pretty indifferent to patients that come in.(C U Next TuesdayS). The hygienist seemed miserable and uncaring there, and I don't believe she even told me her name.
This is the USA's medical care at its finest. What a joke. Money>Patient is the big concern, especially when it comes to dental professions.

I love these ladies, they are always very kind and sweet to me. Sometimes you have to wait a bit but that's normal as the patient before me can take longer etc. Nothing out of the ordinary for any medical place, everything here has always been awesome from the assistants and dentist and reception. They really are sweet.

Not family friendly. My daughter was scheduled for an emergency appointment due to having a tooth ache. We entered the building and was told upon entrance that she could not by seen because I had my toddler with me.

This dentist cancelled on me two times after I scheduled time off work. 1st time I was actually on my way to the appointment and second time, also scheduled time off from work, she canceled again. Also, she does not have a very good bedside manner and seems to not be concerned with the patient. I have medical assistance. Will be finding another dentist.

Seriously….I have been calling so many times they are never answering the phone calls ever
Not acceptable

The receptionists go above and beyond to assure your experience is as horrible as it can be. They act as though your presence is the most back-breaking inconvenience for them.

Staff overall seems friendly. Receptionists were a little rude, and were talking smack about people calling for appointments, I could clearly hear from the waiting room.

The few times that I have been there the receptionists are not welcoming and they make you feel like you're taking their time up and they never smile the dentist and the hygienist or very nice but the receptionist need to polish Up On Their Manners
