I will never “like the dentist’s office”, but easily the best experience with having a cavity filled I’ve ever had. I arrived ~30 minutes early (they were also able to move-up my appointment 2 hours) & they took me back to a massage chair in the back. During the procedure, I got a hot neck wrap & warm paraffin wax on my hands. I usually need multiple injections of local, she did it all with one. I even fell asleep during the filling part. Highly recommend.

Dr. Veerman and her staff are awesome—warm, trustworthy, thoughtful. The office is beautiful and relaxing (nice big windows, and the view looks out to the tips of spruce trees in a park with a basketball court ). I went for the first time in 2014 when I was new to Anchorage and was trying to find a good dentist because I had chipped a tooth. I had gone to one who told me I had 8 cavities, in addition to needing a crown, which was an alarming change since I was seeing the dentist regularly in my home town on the east coast. I decided to seek a second opinion, and found Dr. Veerman. She guided me through what the other dentist had likely seen and had a more preventative approach, rather than diving right into premature expensive procedures. She helped me set up Endodontal care for the crown as well. I felt like I could trust her, and I also appreciated that she and the staff were sensitive to my financial situation as I had poor dental insurance. I was impressed by the warmth and vibe of the office. Hopefully the wax hand wraps will return after covid... it may sound a little strange but in the Alaska winter having a little hand spa treatment is a life saver for dry hands. Overall you can tell that Dr. Veerman and her staff are super smart and professional, and also sensitive to the fact that many people find the dentist unpleasant. I now live in Minneapolis and called recently to have my dental records sent. Torey was so helpful and it made me sad to think of having to go to a new place. I can’t recommend them enough!

My wife & I have been patients of Dr. Veerman for over ten years & couldn’t be happier with her professional care & her excellent office staff. Their office is always cheerful & has provided top rate dental care for us. Their office is modern & offers a relaxing atmosphere which is comforting for those that don’t care to visit dentists. On occasion they’ve referred us to specialists when they felt it was in our best interest. We highly recommend Dr. Veerman & her entire team.

I was a client almost as long as Julie Veerman opened her practice. I can say, that her relationship management of her clients and office has gone downhill. I do not recommend her office for your dental needs. I was charged a missed appointment fee, when I called and left a voicemail, that I was being treated in the ER for an emergency health reason. Glad to know that my emergency health care, was not good enough of a reason to cancel my appointment. I am going to get my dental needs elsewhere, where I am not treated as a cash cow in a global pandemic.

I can’t speak high enough of Dr. Veerman and her office. My husband and I have referred many friends and family. Their office is run like a well-oiled machine and the office’s cleanliness is top-notch. Dr. Veerman is kind, thorough, and explains everything well. When the COVID restrictions went into place, Dr. Veerman’s office put all of the recommendations in place to keep her staff and patients safe. Thanks for all that you do!

I started seeing Dr. Veerman in 2019. She has a very pleasant demeanor and great bedside manner. I have anxiety when seeing the dentist but her paraffin wax gloves and hot neck wrap kept me at ease. I got some cosmetic work done on a front tooth which I am very pleased with. She took her time and in the end, the tooth looks perfect.

I have a lot of dental anxiety and the office and Dr. Veerman have all been super understand and helpful. I have had work done before we had insurance and also after our coverage kicked in and she helped prioritize what needed to be done and when in accordance with what my insurance would cover, etc. No pressure to do everything at once (which would put me over he edge in terms of my anxiety when getting dental work and also would max out our insurance benefits.)

I just got a second opinion, and will have to go get all the xrays she took back because the first thing she did was tell me she wasn't going to help me, and demand I get a ton of expensive work done. I went with a cavity causing me pain and was told my mouth is trash and left without treatment... Also a vile liar about what was said. When someone says that pain is interfering with daily life you should put that first instead of thinking about your bottom line. I wake up in agony. I wish my insurance were more selective about the quality of providers they offer money to.
