Broadway Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics

Cancelled my son's appointment back in October on the day of his appt to then refer me somewhere else. This appointment was due to a tooth injury and they had postponed his treatment due to their negligence. Also, cancelled and rescheduled their appointments for April to the end of May. Appointments were scheduled in April to correspond with the kids Spring Break. This is becoming a common occurrence with "service businesses" lately. They schedule your appointment only to call and reschedule to a later date.

I wish I could leave a better review. Overall not a great experience. Not assessing the issue properly the first time, causing more pain and damage to the patient. I had a crown done on a bottom back tooth by Dr Shareef. He "wasn't convinced" that the tooth also needed a root canal. Upon installation, I told him that the crown hurt inside the tooth. He did a "bite adjustment"-drilling down the completey healthy tooth above it. That tooth hurts too now. I feel like I'm worse off for having gone here. Patient Beware.

Friendly, thorough, meticulous, and pain-free. Highly recommended.

It is so hard to find a great dentist. I had some awful experiences with other dentists in town before a friend recommended Broadway Smiles. I’ve had only positive experiences here, and I’m someone who usually gets anxiety about going to the dentist. Kind, professional hygienists and Dr. Shareef is wonderful. Also, it’s affordable (!). I can’t say enough good things about this practice and am so glad I found them.

I went to this Dentist because they are one of the few in Tucson that offers Nitrous for my dental anxiety. The first appointment I had was for tooth pain. They determined that it was from a root canal that I had done almost 20 years ago and recommended a tooth extraction. That visit was fine. But then the three succeeding appointments for the quadrant cleaning is where it all went south. I told them I wanted Nitrous for EVERY appointment, and told them to put it in my chart. The first appt they didn't put me in a room that accommodated for it. The second appointment, they told me it was on, but there was no air flow in the nozzle, and when I mentioned it for the 3rd time they were very rude about it, basically telling me I didn't know what I was talking about. Then the third appointment, they didn't offer it again and put me in a room that didn't accommodate for it. All said and done, I get my EOB from my insurance and discover that I was overcharged $580 for the services. I have called and asked twice to go over my billing and have been told that someone will get back with me. In addition to all of this, they quoted me $5,000 out of pocket for a bridge after insurance, yet my insurance company website says that I shouldn't have to pay more than $800.00 for a bridge. I don't know what they're doing in their billing department, but I don't believe I will be coming back if that's how they handle their business.

I did wait 45 minutes before I was called. And the appointment was over an hour long. You need to take the day off if you have an appointment. Other than that great experience.

Broadway Smiles has definitely exceeded my expectations. The dentist Sean Hanna is an exceptional dentist. He does listen to his patients and wants you to be satisfied. I had an issue with some dental work they had done. He was very fair, and apologetic about the issue and remedied it by him doing it personally. I will be a loyal patient from here on.

Horrible!!! I went in there to have a dentist see if he can perform a procedure and instead they charge me $119 for a x-ray and check my pulse/blood pressure which they could not even get that right and then tell me no when I could have just been told no before going through spending $119 they tried to control the narrative and then they wanted to sell me extras I'd recommend you stay away or be very conscientious on what you're signing for, unfortunately I was not, so if I can help others then that's what I'll do. I strongly believe they're in it for the money not for the patient. !!!UPDATE!!!! Yes if you want to help me you have my number on file please give me a call I would like a partial refund on my credit card that will solve the problem. Another update Feb 20 2023 Still no call from Smile Dentistry or Email. So apparently they don't strive for feedback or taking care of the customers. 😥 Thanks

I have been coming to Broadway Smiles for years. The best part about Broadway Smiles is Dr. Sean Hanna. He is so knowledgeable, friendly, professional and thorough. He is definitely the best dentist I've been to in my whole life (and I'm 68 years old)! The second best part is Jerry Collins, my hygienist. But really the whole staff there is superb! They take the time to answer any and all questions I have. I would recommend that anyone give Broadway Smiles a try. You won't be disappointed! 😁

I wish I could give this place a 0!! Came here twice to check if what was wrong on my upper premolar. The dentist said that everything was fine except that I needed a crown for my molar but it doesn’t make sense because of the pain is on the premolar. So I ended up waking up in pain and my face is swollen. We had to go to ER because of that. I went to another dentist and they found out I needed root canal so I ended up having one and now I’m pain free. I could’ve save myself from pain and going to ER only if the dentist knows how to diagnose his patient properly!

Do not go here!!! They try to trick you into doing things that are not covered by your insurance. Then charge your insurance for way more than a normal coverage. I went in for a normal cleaning and yearly check up and just received a $600 bill for what they told me would be fully covered.

This place never submitted bills to my insurance company I wound up paying it out of my pocket $4,000 - $5,000 extra

First and foremost great service! the doctors were all kind, including the front desk. Would definitely recommend!!!!

Had an appointment in September was told I had an infection in my bone. They did a deep cleaning. Two months later I was in so much pain it was waking me up at night. They finally gave me antibiotics. The receptionist was on the phone to make me an appointment with the periodontist and I had to leave because between the mouth pain and back pain I had at the time I could barely stand. She was going to call me with the appointment time. I spent the night in the ER. So two months later I still have not heard from them, it is the middle of January now and they can't get me 8n until March. My infection is still there. I asked to speak to the office manager and was put on hold for 10 minutes and got a random voicemail.

The whole office was whispering and laughing at the patient. I recommend no one to go to this office. It takes a lot of courage to go into a dental office and then to have the staff making fun of the patient…..the audacity. There are plenty of places that are more professional and they won’t be people laughing at your family member.

Dr. Hanna is absolutely wonderful. He always takes the time to do talk with me and actually listen to what I’m saying. I can tell he genuinely cares for his patients and just wants to help. Wonderful dentist.

Great assistance from knowledgeable dentist and hygenist.

Dr. Hanna listens to concerns and offers suggestions but you never feel like you’re being duped or being told you need something you don’t. The tech and hygienist were also kind and listened to concerns.

This place is amazing they saw me the same day I called about wisdom tooth pain, and I had surgery the next day to remove my wisdom teeth. The receptionist at the front desk was super helpful and really nice, and the woman that helped me schedule my surgery was incredibly nice and went out of her way to find time to get me in, all well still handling other patients. 100% recommend this place.

The hygienists rush through cleanings and I never feel like they do a thorough enough job. On top of that, I had an appointment scheduled for May that I had made 6 months prior (in November). They called me two days before my scheduled appointment to let me know that they didn’t have enough hygienists available and they needed to reschedule. Which would have been fine, if the next available appointment wasn’t this upcoming NOVEMBER. I went to a different dentist.
