Smiles abound once you enter the door. A friendly greeting that takes you by surprise not something you experience going for a trip to the dentist. Updated. Just went to see Strathman family dentistry. I have to say it was a great experience. No surprise upselling. Just asks what do you want done. In my case I've got damage to my left upper and lower molars. They don't hurt. "When it really bothers you we'll set up a plan". You gotta love that. So I'll get my bridge replaced and go from there. Thanks doc.

I really want to give like 3.5 stars, but oh well. Wouldve, could've, should've. I have mixed feelings about my experience. I was a stubborn 18-year-old who wanted a straight smile in record time. I get that it's my fault that I signed the papers. I do wish that as a professional, he would have insisted that that wasn't possible with 6-mo braces and refused me treatment (especially given that i had a canine that was WAY up in my gums and above the rest of my teeth that we had to shave down and basically ignore bc we couldn't pull that down in six months). To his credit, he did agree to extend my 6 months to about 18 after I was not happy with the results at the 6-month mark. But even when I was done, it wasn't the best result I could've had although it *was* significantly better than it was. I don't think he was equipped to achieve what I needed to achieve, orthodontic-wise. I am now going through an actual orthodontist to correct what he couldnt, as well as getting a veneer for that extremely sensitive shaved-down canine, at almost 30 years old. However, I would say as a dentist, he was fine. The staff was good, I liked them all. Stratman himself seemed short but I dont think the other doctor had signed on yet so he was probably super busy. He was always pleasant though.

Be warned - they do NOT verify insurance benefits. Their estimate was off by 50% and they will not offer a discount. We tried meeting with the doctor to discuss this and he refused. After being told the remaining balance was being sent to collections months earlier, Dr.Stratman himself called from his cell without verifying HIPPA and threatened small claims court. Extremely unprofessional. Would NEVER recommend this practice.

In Oct 2022 Dr Levy removed a very stubborn old crown on a back molar for me with a cavity underneath. It was a lot of work, the crown came out in many pieces, and I thought I would have sore gums, maybe bleeding, discomfort. After the anesthesia wore off I was pleasantly surprised to feel no pain, no bleeding, no soreness, no discomfort at all ! Then two weeks later Dr Levy installed my new crown and it fit perfectly, no grinding, no adjustments needed! Thank You Dr Levy and Tammy for a fantastic painless awesome experience getting that stubborn crown removed and replaced

I have been a patient at this office for many years, and the service has declined in the last few years. Dr Stratman seems to have added too many patients, and doesn't take time for individuals who may have questions, or it seems, time to actually read the xrays that are taken at cleaning appointments. The office feels like an assembly line. He, and Richelle, missed seeing a 6 mm pocket in my gum that became infected, and he missed seeing a cavity on an xray, and let it go for so long that it became so big that I had to get a crown put on that tooth by another dentist. I will not be back.

7/5/2022 12:00 PM App. this place is just looking to make money. They told me over the phone that it would cost me 235 to extract one teeth. Than when I got there they charged me $349 said they wouldn't do the extraction until they get their payment beforehand. As if I'm gonna Run out of the door and not pay for their scheming service. If you're a patient with cash that doesn't have insurance they'll take advantage of the fact and of your vulnerability and get that extra pocket money off you. Doc's will Bombar you with personal questions that have nothing to do with your visit making you feel awkward while sitting on the dentists chair💺waiting for the extraction. They also sent me an automated message saying my appointment is on the 6th!? Which got me Confused making me show up late for the appointment because I was unsure of what day to go. My whole experience with these People was Confusing and uncomfortable I'm never going back here again.

Did you go to the dentist during the pandemic? Yeah, me neither. I was heckin' scared to go in and have a dentist tell me my teefs were all jacked. Admittedly, I didn't take the greatest care of my teefs during the pandemic either and so my gums were not in the best shape to boot. My previous dentist legit died during the last year and I was in the market for a new dentist. I booked appointments for myself, my wife, and my son and the three of us all visited Stratman Family Dentistry. My nine year old son made buddies with his hygienist and the front desk staff and was trying to book play dates with their kids... I explained to my hygienist, Allison, that I was scared like it was the first day of high school and she did an amazing job of calming me down and did a great job cleaning my teefs. (I like teefs better than teeth) As for my wife... if I suggest anything to my wife that isn't her idea she hates it. Could be the most beautiful beach in the world with no one on it, no kids, free drinks... if it was my idea and not hers she's gonna tell me she hates it. Listen, she had to have a bit of work done cause someone, not going to say who, doesn't brush the ADA recommended two minutes no matter how many times her husband reminds her... Anywho, she has come back from both visits raving about her hygienist and her dentist. I mean, I don't get any credit, of course, for finding the awesome dentist or making the initial appointment... But at the end of the day, I want you to know that my whole family is very happy at Stratman Family Dentistry. Perfect 5/7!

I had to make three separate requests to this office to switch my family's medical records to our new dentist. Each time they said they'd transferred the info but they hadn't. I'm unsure if it's just the one person in their office handling this who is utterly incompetent or if it's their entire office. One request for medical records to be transferred from one Dr to another Dr should be more than sufficient and comply with all medical laws, but with these folks it isn't enough. Multiple requests is rather ridiculous, especially when you're being charged out of pocket for additional x-rays at your new dentist that were unnecessary if the records had been transferred as stated and as requested. Yes they were friendly but they also lied about being "in network" for our dual insurances - both United Healthcare and Cigna. The only insurance that is in network for them is Delta. I honestly can't really say anything positive about this place.

I am so unhappy with my results. I spent $4,000 cash on a bridge and gum restoration from Dr. Stratman and I am still embarrassed to show my smile. This has caused me so much stress and anxiety. I cried when I got home from this dentist. I wish I had gone somewhere else.

Honestly if I could give them a higher rating I would they are just beyond amazing at making you feel welcomed, like your at home almost. Super friendly. Just love it there. Thank you all

These people take advantage of vulnerable people who go in for help, especially if they’re cash paying customers. My wife had a brain hemorrhage shortly after giving birth to our baby. She suffered long term effects and was often hospitalized for severe seizures. Due to this she lost her job and was placed on disability, losing her dental benefits as well. Heavily medicated and very ill, Dr. Levy along with Selena (all approved by Dr. Stratman) took advantage of my wife’s situation, told her she actually had another tooth that needed filling that was not on the original estimate, never showed X-rays. Selena lied and said it was. My wife trusted them and agreed, feeling pressured. They used so much novocaine only in that one unlisted spot, not on any of the other areas she supposedly needed fillings, my wife was numb for more than 24 hours. When she went to leave, the office assistant said she now had a new bill because that was never on the original estimate. While my wife was crying, feeling stupid and hustled, Dr. Levy came out acting like a hero and ripped up the bill, thus destroying the evidence? Well guess what? That tooth is now broken. Do a little google digging of Arlyn Levy. She has a list of cases against her for sketchy work. It’s amazing Stratman would bring her in here. Be very careful operating this way “Doctors”, because the karma shark will come for you, and it won’t be for dental work. That’s just the way of the universe. My family trusted you when my daughter’s mom was at the lowest point in her life and you took advantage of her and added to her severe PTSD. I hope that money you got from her dad helping us out was worth it. Not sure how you sleep at night treating people this way. A good example is a response to a review where you tell a patient their insurance was garbage. What professional business would disparage their client AND an insurance company they work with? You’ve been warned.

Wonderful experience. I thought for sure I chipped some enamel off a front tooth and Stratman Family Dentistry got me in quickly. X rays and a full exam and it turns out I am just fine, but I was full of anxiety. Dr. Levy immediately put me me at ease and assured me that my teeth are in good shape. Everyone there was wonderful and I thank you all for being so kind and accomodating.

Stratman Family Dentistry is literally the best. I've been a loyal customer for over a decade. With two locations in town, their staff is top-notch from top to bottom. Their scheduling staff does a great job getting you booked and addressing your billing needs. The hygienists are professional (I've worked with four of them) and friendly. Rachelle, Catherine are fantastic. And finally, Dr. Stratman is what you're looking for; a consummate professional who does an excellent job managing his team of professionals. I've had 4 root canals and many cavities filled, most before I can into their care, and no one has been as gentle to my teeth than Dr. Stratman. Consider yourself lucky to have them on your side.

I have always been a little uncomfortable at the dentist, largely due to having lifelong gum issues and mouth sensitivity. I went to Stratman Family Dentistry because I heard they are a "judgment-free" zone and are also pretty gentle to sensitive mouths. I had not been to the dentist in almost six years, and so was naturally very apprehensive, but Dr. Levy and the staff there made me super comfortable and eased my anxieties. They offer blankets, TV and music to help calm nerves (I didn't need it, but it was nice they offered) and the work I had done was quick and relatively painless. The office doesn't try to sell you things you don't need, they let you know recommendations but you are never pressured to sign up for anything you're not comfortable with. Everything about this visit was great, and I am happy to say I have found my new dentist. Ask for Dr. Levy!!

I have had some REALLY terrible dentist visits in my day. That stopped completely when I started coming here. ALL of the staff is friendly from the moment you walk in. They are kind, understanding and don’t pressure you into anything, yet will give you the whole rundown on what you need to know. Big shoutout to Dr. Arlyn Levy for being not only the best because of her bubbly beautiful personality, but also the best skills. She makes it as painless as possible and does her best to make you feel comfortable. Even if that means blasting Backstreet Boys. She is heaven sent. I can’t recommend this place enough.They are also super affordable and super easy to schedule with. For someone with terrible dental anxiety, or if you need any dental work done, you MUST go here. This team is the best in Tucson.

The nicest dentist I’ve ever been to! Dr. Levy & Miss Paloma we’re awesome! They both made me feel super comfortable! Highly recommend them to anyone who has a fear of the dentist or is looking for a new dentist office in general!

Had a tooth pulled recently by Dr Levy. It was a difficult extraction due to my small mouth and location of the tooth. Dr. Levy did an excellent job. I have no more pain and am extremely pleased that I went to Stratman for this procedure. THANK YOU Dr. Levy!

I can not say enough good things about Dr Stratman!! If you are anxious, scared, or terrified about seeing a dentist, Dr Stratman is the dentist for you!! I am a BIG baby about dental work! I have had bad previous experiences with dentists that have lead to me not seeing a dentist in years! Randy in the front office is very kind and great with people. Hes wonderful to talk to when scheduling your appointments. Dr Stratman has a calm and gentle demeanor that makes for a more relaxing environment. My anxiety was through the roof before getting my tooth pulled, and he was so patient, and kind with me!! You can tell from the second you walk into this place, that these people genuinely care about not only your teeth, but your comfort both mentally and physically! Thank you so much Dr Stratman for being so very kind and compassionate and non judgmental! ~~~~UPDATE: I have recently gone for more work, and this time saw Dr. Levy. She is just as amazing as Dr. Stratman! I have since taken my kids there for check ups and work, and both dentists are just as wonderful with kids! This whole practice is amazing! And the prices are very reasonable. If you need a dentist, I highly recommend Stratman Family Dentistry.
