I went in for a routine check and exam as a first time patient. Prior to my visit I was told my insurance would cover my X-rays, exam and cleaning. I went in today and after my exam and x-ray, I was told I had to pay for for my cleaning. I did not pay, I called my insurance company and confirmed that they lied to me. The insurance company also confirmed that they called to verify my coverage. All this time say, be careful this isn’t an honest business.

Worst experience ever. They refused to accept my Medical Insurance and were very condescending and rude to me when speaking to them. They gave me no real reason other than clearly not wanting to work with Medical which is ILLEGAL. I called Medical back and they confirmed, THEY CANNOT DO THAT. I have filed a grievance complaint and launched an investigation against this office. THEY ARE CONTRACTED WITH MEDICAL, THEY PAY THEM TO OFFER SERVICES TO ALL MEDICAL PATIENTS! Honestly, I also felt because I am non-asian they treated me with the utmost disrespect. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Hua Kuan DDS i thought was no good. First of all, he was very concerned about playing his music really loud. I could hardly hear what he’s saying to me. Music blasting on the left side of the dental chair. He was not concerned about my toothache, he suggested I remove my perfectly good root canal tooth instead of being more considerate of fixing it. Rush rush job. Dental assistant are very friendly & nice thou. So they earn the star. I left with the sane problem, totally waste of my time. Not recommended to go here & never coming back. Receptionist abit rude too.

This place worked for me. The staff was friendly and the dentist seemed good. I've never had a cavity before so the visit was pretty quick. The office and visit was about what I expected. Overall I was satisfied and would come back again.

I had a dental injury that needed an x-ray and one CT scan according to Dr. John Lu. The staff was very professional with administering these procedures and Dr. Lu found a fracture at the root of the injured tooth, which was bad news. However he gave me options for treatment and prescribed an antibiotic to prevent infection, and and although I haven't made a decision on treatment methods, I have a piece of mind and am feeling OK. Thank s Sunset premier.

My first day visiting as a patient- I loved the staff and dentist! They made me feel welcomed and I felt very safe and everyone was awesome! Solid 10/10!!

Dr Lynn Tran treated me with extreme care and expertise. The office is very friendly and professional. I couldn’t recommend it more. This is a health practice a caring place. With love for their work and care for their patients. You’ll never feel like a customer there. They earned my trust.

Excellent care. They are taking the covid safety guidelines very seriously. While I was there I saw them wipe down the counters and door handles 3 times and everyone was masked. Best of all the dentist did a great job. No pain. The assistant did a really good job of keeping up with suction etc to keep me comfortable. The only improvement I might suggest is using warm water to rinse like some dentists do.

So you called to schedule a regular cleaning? Forget about it. Here's why. As soon as the x-rays are done, the dentist will prod your teeth and say you need deep cleaning. You push back and they'll tell you that's the only thing they can do today. But you clearly scheduled a regular cleaning two weeks before? NO CAN DO. The front desk will present you the bill for $600 if you deep clean today. You don't get your entitled regular cleaning at all. A scam, pure and simple. These guys are out for the big ticket invoices, only. Avoid at all costs.

Absolute scammers and he messed up my gums Dr. Lu is a fraud

Sketchy. I checked my claims and couldn't find all the treatments that were done from all my most recent visits. The most expensive is a Zirconia crown done for $1200. I called my insurance company and they did not receive the claim for it. I'm hoping to get reimbursed. Sad that I didn't do research first before selecting a dental provider in my area. Please don't even consider coming here for your treatments.

I like this place and all the people who works here, very causal. And what to expect? I think they are fast and quick, and finish and fix what I need. 5 star for service 5 star for result

Arrived 15 minutes early for appointment. Waited over an hour and half not including the 15 minutes. Witness the dental hygienist picking and choosing files from counter, who would be next, rather than files in order or by time slot. Addressed the issue of people going before us when they came in after us with receptionist, she responded with a lame excuse that those patients needed consultation from dentist. Finally when we were called in, had to wait again, and when I explain to the orthodontist what had happened, he said that should not have happened and it will never happen again, BUT also that he was giving us a consultation too. When dental hygienist came in asking about what color rubberbands my child wanted for his braces, the doctor said out loud from another room, not that one, use the clear wire, clearly this lady did not know what she was doing. The orthodontist is not hands on with any aspect of the braces but consultation. If your time is valuable, don't go here. If you speak English, don't go here. If you want an experience, knowledgeable business, don't go here. If you want to be treated disrespectfully and as a cash cow, perfect place for you. Small, dingy, office, patients were waiting out in the hall, on the floor...you get the picture. Wait was so long, somebody was snoring in the small waiting room. We will give our business elsewhere. ("5 out of 5 stars based on 5 reviews" is written on the website. I submitted a review, but seems like they pick only the 5 star reviews. Fishy with only 5 reviews. Well my review was not 5 stars.)

I scheduled an appointment with Delta Dental and Sunset cancelled it. I called Sunset Dental and they argued with me and then hung up on me.

A fraud. They will fleece you for your insurance then refuse to answer calls. Check their Yelp.

From the moment I stepped through the door everyone was all smiles and seemed genuinely glad to see me and this was my first time there. I was taken care of efficiently, with expert care and knowledge and I never felt rushed. They truly seemed to enjoy their work and pleased to provide excellent dental healthcare; plus I was always kept informed of the next thing that was going to happen. If you need a new dental office this is the place; even if you don't need a new one but want a new one or need a change, call and make an appointment.
