Awesome Dentistry, the nurse assistants that help me with my 4 year old were very helpful, and the dentist lady was friendly. Definitely going again in 6 months, worth the drive from Lompoc

I’ve had a few visits over a span of over a few years. Im always thinking the next visit will be better. One of the ladies at the front desk always Give off a very rude vibe and always look unhappy and upset to be working. Whenever I call to schedule an appointment they are always too busy and say to call another time. And when I do I get the same response. I Once paid a fee upfront for a dental surgery and wasn’t told I could get money back until after the days to claim it were up. I wasn’t given full information about it and they lied saying they had told me. And then got mad at me over it. My recent visit i took my child for an extraction and they didn’t bother doing it. Instead they attempted a cleaning which they already knew my child didn’t do well with. They have little to NO patience when a child is somewhat uncooperative. They easily gave up and canceled the extraction before even starting it. Then A worker brought me a referral to another place and wrote comments about my child which sounded rude and they wrote false information which is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. They falsely stated my child didn’t allow any extractions when all they did was attempt a cleaning. My child has no problem getting extractions done, we’ve already Had extractions done at a previous appointment. Also asked for a referral to a specific dentist and the lady said the dentist retired. Which was false. She asked if I wanted her to double check with a “ I’m lazy but I’ll do it if u want” attitude. The second referral came and turns out he wasn’t retired! Smh. And the second referral didn’t have any of the other comments that the first referral had. It sounded more professional. I asked about the false comments on the first and she said they wrote that because she didn’t let herself for the cleaning. And I told her why would it be written that she didn’t allow for an extraction if it wasn’t even true. Seemed like she didn’t know what to say. I didn’t even bother anymore and left. This is my

I love this office! They have the most incredible staff. They are always so helpful and kind. We have moved around a lot and with that have seen our fair share of dentists office....this one is the best! Top notch staff and a fun place for the kids to wait. Dr. Sam is patient and does awesome magic tricks that our 4 girls won't stop talking about! Thank you!

Took child in for a regular cleaning, and several months later (8 1/2 months after date of service) I am in contact with a billing supervisor, Amber, stating that the dental coverage was not valid, and is trying to force me to pay full price for the exam and cleaning. Se went so far as to state that if I did not pay immediately, that the bill will be sent to collections. When I contacted the dental plan, they stated that the office never tried to bill for date of service. I have spent several days, several phone calls later, and she still refuses to work with me to get the proof that the coverage is valid! I also caught her in several erroneous statements and untruths....When I requested a supervisor, she stated there was nobody above her. She speaks poorly for the practice if she is using threats and erroneous statements to try and gauge for a cash payment, rather then a discounted payment that the insurance companies would pay normally. The insurance company stated that the practice has never tried to bill for date of service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD THERE!!!! It is not worth the time trying to clean up their extortion attempts, threats and rudeness, almost 9 months later, after date of service. By the way, I received 2 billings from them during the 8 1/2 months, stating there was a zero balance. It is time for another dental visit for a cleaning, I will be taking my child somewhere else.
