Dr. Uwaine, is the best! She takes great care of my family. When I had a bad tooth ack she made time for me after hours to take care of my tooth. She's is very skilled and I haven't felt any pain at her office. She's so gentle and takes time to explain the situation of each of my family's teeth health. Her staff is also very friendly and easy to work with.

Kaka’ako Dental Care is conveniently located at 600 Kapiolani Blvd above Kabuki Restaurant & TJ’s sports bar. Dr. Uwaine and her staff are professional and friendly. The office is very clean and comfortable. Everyone there makes you feel like family and right at home. My procedures and teeth have been pain free since seeing Dr. Uwaine. I usually enjoy a nap or show on Netflix while getting worked on. After cleanings my teeth are noticeably cleaner. As a heavy coffee and tea drinker the cleanings make my teeth many shades whiter. I highly recommend Dr. Uwaine and her team they make a dentist appointment an enjoyable experience.

Being a Kakaako resident, I love that this office is walking distance from my house. I have been going to this office for 4 years and they have a very 'family feel.' Unlike those big corporate dental offices you are probably used to going for your dental work, where you don't know who will be cleaning your teeth or what dentist you will be seeing... this is exactly the opposite. Its always the same receptionist at the front with a smile on her face and the same hygienists who cleans my teeth. Dr. Uwaine is the best dentist I've ever been too. She is kind and compassionate along with never causing me any pain when I have a filling. I feel like Kakaako Dental Care is much than a dental office and they care about the relationships they have with their patients. I would highly recommend going to Kakaako Dental Care and booking an appointment today!

This place is a scam! It was my first time at this place and I regret for not looking into reviews before going there. So, here is what happened- I went in for my annual dental cleaning on June 15, 2021 which is btw 100% covered by my insurance. They made us wait for like 30-40 mins and finally when they called me in they took a bunch of X-rays and then finally the dentist came in and explained about my teeth health which he was pretty straightforward about. Then the real drama began- the dental hygienist who I guess have some attitude issues came in and started saying that I need "deep cleaning" and the bill would be $500 something. I just said I cant afford that and I just need regular cleaning which is covered by my Aetna dental insurance! They said "ok" and then started the cleaning which was btw so short- maybe like 3-4 minutes! It was less than the time that I spend every morning to brush my teeth! Just coz I said "No" to deep cleaning doesn't mean that they just rush my treatment and then claim full payment from my insurance! Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! After receiving an email from their office to rate their service- I left them very poor reviews to which the dental hygienist-Paula left a voice message on my phone earlier this week and later when I tried reaching her past 2-3 days there is no response! Absolutely avoid this dental office- its a scam!

Set an appointment on December 27th to come in on the earliest opening, February 28. They said they would call my insurance to confirm and then give me a call the day before the appointment as a reminder. No call. Called the day of the appointment and they said, "There was a lot going on due to Covid (this is February 2022, please) and we don't have you down for today. We could set another appointment for one month from today." Reluctantly, I said yes. I get a call 15 minutes later and they say our insurance isn't accepted and cancel our appointment. This place has to be an actual joke. What?
