John P Oka, DDS - Kaneohe Dentist

The office has taken precautions for COVID-19. It was still very convenient and I felt safe going in for my cleaning. My hygienist, Dr. Oka, Dr. Johnson, and all of the staff are ALWAYS kind, pleasant, and welcoming. My employer recently change our insurance provider. The first thing I did was call the office to make sure they'd accept my new insurance. 😅 If you are needing to see a dentist I highly recommend going to Dr. Oka and his team!

Dr. Oka's office for your dental needs! The front desk is very nice & helpful. They listen to your needs and help you receive the care you are looking for. I was treated by Dr. Johnson, who was excellent! I was able to explain my concerns and what I was looking for. Dr. Johnson took the time to listen, to check my dental concern and help treat me on the spot. He was very gentle (NO PAIN!) and he worked very well with his assistant as a team. They worked quickly and provided excellent results. I highly recommend Dr. Oka's office and Dr. Johnson.

One of the best overall experiences with a dentist and dental care I've ever received. The entire staff at Dr. Oka's dental practice is top notch from office staff, dental hygienist, dental assistants, to the doctor himself. Patient, friendly, and caring they are the best. Although having my teeth cleaned and inspected is not my idea of a fun time, my last visit with Doctor Oka and his team was quite pleasant. I left knowing I was taken care of.

If going to the Dentist could be a wonderful day...this would be it. Dr. Oka and his staff will make you feel welcomed and cared for. His techniques are up-to-date and the most pain-free experience I've ever had with my dental work I would highly recommend you give Dr. Oka a try. This is a five star dental treatment in and brand new five star environment. No matter where you live on our island of Oahu, Dr. Oka is worth the drive.

Went in at 7am for routine cleaning. Got a tour of the new place. Nice place. With new equipment. Very friendly and efficient service. This is the place to go. I once had to do a crown and they have a machine that makes it as you wait so you don’t need to go in 2-3 times like other places to get the crown fitted. My kids,wife and myself been going here for years! This place is amazing.

I have been literally a lifetime member, since we were kids, when we went to Dr. Takesono. The practice change over has seemed pretty seamless. Same great staff, efficient and friendly. Nettie (front office) is on point for EVERYTHING. Stacy (hygienist) is super friendly. And finally, Dr. Oka is engaging and goes a great job. The office equipment is modern and the new office is beautiful.

Each and every visit, no matter if it is for something as routine as a cleaning to something as significant as a cap, we feel that our good health and smiles are very important to them. It’s always a great experience going to Dr. Oka’s office. I love his staff, the dental hygienists are good & Dr. Oka is a sweetheart. He has worked on my teeth without causing me pain. When my sister from Canada was visiting and she was in pain from a bad tooth, he squeezed her into his schedule, fixed the problem, and worked with her insurance so that she didn't have to pay a penny out of her own pocket. My whole family is happy to be patients of Dr. Oka.

Dr. Oka is excellent. I think he listens to your concerns and understands them. He is good at putting his advise into terms you can easily understand.

I really really hate going to the dentist, but coming to Dr. Oka has really helped tame my anxiety towards the dentist office. The staff is kinda like cheers, they remember everyone’s name and treats them as if they’re family. I love my dentist .

So today is my first time to Dr. Oka's office and my first impression began with my initial phone call to make an appointment for my husband. Immediately I was greeted by the receptionist named, "Nettie." Her pleasant voice and friendly attitude made it easy for me to talk to her. I explained my husband's situation to Nettie and she was able to help us and made us a same day appointment. I was worried about this because he is a new patient and there are a lot of other Dentists who wouldn't accept us on short notice. The positive did not end with Nettie, it continued once we entered into the office! It turns out, the whole staff is friendly, kind, and carry such great energy, Especially, Dr. Oka; himself! It's so refreshing to see that his energy trickles through out his office and his staff. They're welcoming with open arms. I'm really happy with the service here so far. I would definitely recommend Dr. Oka and his team to anyone who is looking to change their dentist. I'll update you all on services rendered and costs.
