Hawaii Family Dental - Mililani Town Center

I’ve been a patient of HFD for almost all my life and generally my experiences have been pretty good. I’ve visited the town location and Ewa location. After moving, I began going to the Mililani office for care. From the first visit, I could sense that my experiences at this office were not going to be good. The doctor roughly examined my mouth and bedside manner was terrible. He didn’t give me much opportunity to process what he was saying or ask any questions. He suggested a few treatments and then I was rushed off to the receptionist who promptly scheduled me for several procedures before I even knew what was happening. At some point in this process, I had to cancel an appointment due to an emergency. I was told that because I had previously canceled an appointment in the last 12 months and 48 hours of notice was not provided, I would not be able to schedule on Saturdays anymore - guess I’m on the naughty list now. Shortly thereafter, (and in the middle of my emergency) I received a series of texts from the office further explaining that my next appointment for a different procedure was canceled until I could pay the $50 ransom. A few days later, I called the office to provide feedback to the manager and inform them of how unprofessional and callous it was to bombard patients after they’ve informed you they’re experiencing an emergency. In short, they’ve chosen to defend their unprofessional practices and proven they only care about how much $$ they can make in a day. There are a few other reasons why in the end, I’m choosing not to go back there. The only star I’m providing is for Cheryl, who is an awesome dental hygienist. She took great care of me and it’s a real bummer that I won’t be back to see her again. Also, make sure you let your emergencies know that they need to give you at least 48 hours notice so you can cancel your appointments on time. To whomever will address this concern - please do better.

My hygienist Cheryl was very friendly and comforting throughout the whole cleaning process. She did a very good job and gave me important recommendations to improve my daily dental hygiene.

I had a great experience at the Hawaii Family Dental at the Mililani Town Center. The hygienist was fast and gentle on my teeth. The dentist was great! He helped solved a sensitivity issue I was having very quickly and I was out the door. Thank you Hawaii Family Dental for taking good care of me!

HFD- Mililani is a excellent establishment with friendly staff who treats you “Aloha “ from the time you enter the front door to the time your procedure is done. I enjoy working with my dentist, he’s very knowledgeable about his profession. I would highly recommend HFD Mililani to my family and friends. Good job!!!

Kind and knowledgeable staff. I’ve been seeing Dr. Evan Kopecki for my dental fillings and he is a young but passionate dentists who did a great job on my teeth.

We had to cancel an appointment because our boys were sick. It was our only time ever canceling or rescheduling an appointment. We called the day before our kid's appointment to cancel and were told we couldn't have them on the same day anymore because we didn't give them a five-day notice before canceling. The flu didn't give me a five-day notice before it showed up, so how am I supposed to give you a five-day notice to cancel? I get missed an appointment, but I can't have my kids booked on the same day because they got sick once. If you are a parent of littles, find a different dentist, as kids get ill too often to put up with this office's horrible cancelation policy.

Sky is always friendliest person when i go their. She is the highlight of the visit ,who like to go to the dentist lol. Also me hygienist is the best so painless .

The staff there are so friendly and they really care about there patients. I also want to say Dr. Edgar thank you. I had a major panick attack and he just did an outstanding job. No pain and he really takes great care of his patients. He really took great care of me. He's so calm and understanding.Cant forget about his assistant so kind. Thanks again to the Doctors and staff. I'm glad I came to Hawaii Family Dental!!!

I have a fear of dentist but everyone here makes you feel so comfortable I have been able to have cleaning 3 times a year.

My daughter went in twice in 2 weeks to have work done on both sides of her mouth. She is not a fan of the doctors or dentist. But I must say she came out the first time better than I could’ve imagined. The second time was a bit harder. But overall she had the best experience that a mom could’ve wanted for their child. The work is all done and she is just a happier child. Thank you to doctor Westphal and the staff at Mililani Hawaii Family Dental Center for the care and services you provide!

Aloha! I'm excited to have this opportunity to speak on the quality of services I've been provided. I have been a patient for well over 10+ years. I have been through dentist transitions, due to the fact that the dentists have moved on. I've not been disappointed with who I have had to transition to. The staff have always been patient, kind, helpful and genuine. If Skye ever leaves I will have serious abandonment issues...she's great! I'm seeing Dr. Hur at the moment. When I leave after my sessions I feel comforted and have gained knowledge on how to be proactive with my dental care. If you are looking for dental care where "Care," is key...then look no further. Good dentist and hygienest.

Took my son there to get treatment for a cavity between the two front teeth and the doctor decided black fluoride was the only thing he can do to fix it - after telling me he’d later put white fillings on to diminish the black gunk he refuses and insists on drilling between the two front teeth & creating a gap??? thought the place was nice but regret going there!

Wonderful, friendly staff. Terrific dentists. Painless fillings. Can't ask for more.

Unprofessional

Entire staff is kind..explained everything.I had a great deal of anxiety..now I look forward to my next appointment on the way to dentures.

I cannot say enough of how satisfied I was with my first two visits. Dr. Kopecky, Marisa and the rest of the crew that worked with me were excellent at their job. They were all very professional, very super warm and friendly making it as comfortable for me as possible to get me ready for my experience. Very impressive!

Lani and Cheryl are awesome. Each dental visit is like a visit with a couple of my longtime friends. Couldn’t ask for better - perfect!
