Dowden Family Dentistry

I would NOT recommend Dowden Family Dentistry. I wish I had read their reviews prior to making an appointment. After my appointment, the front desk staff charged me a “disposal fee” that insurance would not cover. I inquired what it was for and I was told it was a fee because of COVID. (Up charging me- which it appears based on other Google reviews, they have done this to other people) I received another bill in the mail for the same charge about a month later. I had to call and tell them I already paid it. I decided I wanted to try a different dentist so I called and asked for my x rays. They had me fill out a release of information form. I asked them to release my information to myself, but they instead sent it directly to the other dentist. There was some confusion on which dentist they sent my records to, so I asked for a phone call from Dr. Dowden to clear the confusion up and to express my frustration with the experience I had with his office. Instead, I received an email from Kathy his office manager. Since I was not able to voice my frustration directly with the owner of the business, the next place would be a Google review. The entire experience was unprofessional from the start, and I would not recommend this clinic.

Dr. Dowden and his office manager Kathy are so kind AND efficient! Went there because of our insurance being in network...staying because of their professionalism!

The customer care and attention to comfort is top notch. I have used this office as my primary Dentistry office for several years now and the service I have received is the best in the industry.

I’ve been coming her for 24 years and I’ve always felt comfortable with Dr. Dowden and his staff.

I have been very comfortable and have felt safe at Dowden Family Dentistry during the Coronavirus Pandemic. My entire family of four has had either cleanings or other dental procedures performed since June 1st. Dowden Family Dentistry has taken all the necessary precautions in dealing with the Coronavirus Pandemic. Actually, I believe they’ve gone above and beyond. Just to add, we’ve never had any insurance issues. With our previous dentist, we always had insurance issues. And lastly, I recently had a dental emergency. I called in the evening around 7:30 pm and received a return call at 9:00 pm and was seen the next day at 8:30 am.

My family have been going to Dr. Dowden for 20 years. He did amazing work on 4 crowns, even sending me to the place that makes them to ensure a color match. Always helpful and friendly.

Office staff is very friendly. Dr. Dowden is one of the best dentist I have ever been to. He is very gentle with his procedures. Dr. Dowden and staff are always educating for prevention (for example -How long and when to use mouthwash; how to brush; best products to use) which I think is wise. Kathy is so helpful and answers any questions I have as far as billing. I feel confident with this dentistry.

They know their patients individually and take care of them the same way. Great care and service.

Dowden Dentistry is great place to fulfill all your dental needs. The staff (especially Kathy) is helpful, friendly and courteous and work hard to address all your questions and concerns. Hats off to you Dr. Dowden for restoring my smile!!!

Have been going to Dr. Dowden for over 15 years now. Great service, they take pride in their work.

Had new crown put on and was a little off. After an adjustment all is great. Very friendly front staff and doctor. Would recommend for all looking for a great dentist.

Hygienists and office staff were courteous and professional. Dr. Dowden is not good. He did not provide my daughter Novocaine or any numbing agent before pulling out a somewhat loose but not loose enough tooth. She was in a lot of pain. He also ground down one of my husband's tooth that later resulted in a root canal. He also did a horrible job patch job on a filling for me. We left him a couple years ago, now go to a different dentist who said Dowden did a lot of unnecessary work. Stay away.
