Dr Kingsley Achikeh is the friendliest, nicest doctor you would want to come across if you’re in search of a dentist in the downtown Silver Spring area. He cares a lot about his patients and it shows in the way you are first greeted by the staff and the attention you get throughout your visit. An overall pleasant experience that you don’t normally get at doctor’s offices but you’ll like coming here, trust me.

Had to get a tooth pulled and there was no pain and I was in and out in 30 minutes, no including the wait time. My insurance covered the cost.

I called and make an appointment for my mom for xray and cleaning. Before she come i asked them to check if the insurance cover before she come. I told them if they did not cover then she will not do a service. They are so horrible, they just go a ahead and go an xray, and surprised she receipt a bill , it said current balance $3.00 and over 30 days charge $53, total charge: $56. She never receive any bill why they said on the bill that they charge $53. Pretty much she did not happy what they doing, she just took xray and thats all they do for that day. First of all, their fault did not let customer know if they agree to do it since the insurance not cover. Second of all, she never receive any bill and now when she receive the bill what they stated in there , it did not make any sense. Hope someone in the office can adjust the bill for her on this situation. Called the billing no one answer the phone., it go direct to the voicemail. THIS IS SO HORRIBLE PLACE. TAKE MY WORD , DONT GO TO THIS PLACE.

Vanessa, the hygienist, is wonderful - caring, explains procedures, knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Achikeh has a state of the art office.

Prompt, courteous, friendly, and thorough service. Professional in all aspects of care; provided with details about all aspects of dental treatment today, and encouraged to ask questions, all of which were answered comprehensively. As in the past, I was very satisfied with the dental service I received today, and will return for further dental care. I highly recommend City Place Dental.

As always Dr. Kingsley and staff are the absolute best! I continue to drive almost 90 minutes to go to City Place Dental. I would never go anywhere else. They are like family after 27 years.

Dr. Achikeh is very knowledgeable and detailed about his work. He takes time to explain the process of what he’s going to do. I think he’s the best in the industry. I recommend him to anyone who needs dental care.

Previously I would have recommended City Place Dental in a heartbeat, Dr. Acikeh has always been excellent, kind and thorough, but recently things have gone downhill. My last visit was rushed and unorganized, I saw a new dentist who wasn't very thorough and didn't see a hygenist at all. Insurance billing has been confusing which resulted in me paying a higher fee for what was just a basic (and rushed) cleaning. This was always 100% covered in the past. I called the billing for help but they never returned calls so eventually I spoke with the office manager. They explained this was because I had a more thorough cleaning a year ago and these were follow up visits - but I repeated that the service I actually received was still just a basic cleaning like I'd been having for years. It's like paying to get your dyed, then going for a trim four months later and having to pay the full dye-price again! The manager said they understood what I was saying, but wouldn't do anything about it. Frustrated.

City Dental came through in the clutch when a couple of my teeth were acting up. Dr. Achikeh and his team handled it with professionalism and ease of discomfort. Recommend highly!
