Since I hadn’t been to a dentist in at least 3 years, I was very nervous about going for an appointment. Dr. Herring and the staff were so kind and understanding. I had to have old dental work repaired, and they made me feel very comfortable the whole time. Also, they are very efficient, so I never spent much time waiting at either appointment.

I actually only visited Starkville Smiles 1 time- it was several years ago when I was a student at MSU. I had a bike crash and broke both of my front teeth on the sidewalk. It was a terrible day but the kind folks at Starkville Smiles made it all better. They were able to see me that same day and were so welcoming. Dr. Herring was extremely meticulous and patient; he took his time to make sure that my new crowns matched my other teeth as closely as possible. The whole staff treated me with compassion and to this day I'm grateful for that. Highly recommend

Dr. Herring is an angle I went to him after seeing some dentist who hurt me and gave me terrible anxiety about dentist. He and Ms. Misty were so gentle with me they made sure I was comfortable. He has done some major work on my mouth and I was able to return to work the same day. He even call later that night to check on me “that blew my mind” I never had that to happen in the past. Dr. Herring is the man to see if you are looking for A1 service the office staff are such sweethearts. I love this place and who say that about dentist.😊

My favorite dental clinic! The atmosphere is relaxing and recent renovations add to the calming ambiance. The front office team is kind and always greets patients with a smile. My hygienist, Brandy, made sure to note all of my allergies and sensitivities as to make my routine cleaning a pleasant experience. Dr. Woolfolk and his assistant, SJ, took great care of me during my treatments. They kept my anxiety at bay throughout the process. Dr. Woolfolk and several team members even followed up afterward. Their service is greatly appreciated. I would recommend Dr. Woolfolk to anyone seeking a family dentist in the Golden Triangle area.

Dr. Woolfolk is honestly the best dentist I have ever seen. I have been his patient for 6 years, he, his hygienists, and office staff could not be better. He is great with kids too. It is refreshing that his practice views teeth issues with close monitoring rather than jumping to procedures. This saves money and makes you feel like a patient rather than a customer.

Dr. Barry and Ms. Mitsy were AMAZING with my daughter. Dr. Barry even called to check up on her later. The office, atmosphere, and other staff were also super welcoming. ...oh yes, and the dental work was A+ quality work—done quickly and done well! This is a top notch dental team!!!!!!! ------------------------------------- I had to amend my review. I gave them 5 stars previously because Dr. Herring is awesome. However, now that we have had to put up with Dr. Woolfolk (the co-owner of Starkville Smiles) I regrettably must Seriously reduce their rating. Dr. Woolfolk was rude, did not communicate what was being done accurately, and rushed me and my family through like we were on an assembly line. I asked not to have him do my work anymore and started seeing Dr. Herring instead. On a visit when we was NOT scheduled to see Dr. Woolfolk, he inserted himself into a discussion inappropriately and aggressively, and yelled at me because I was dissatisfied and upset about his poor work and communication. He also advised us to get work done that I later found out was not required. I highly discourage anyone from selecting him. (Apparently, Dr. Herring is his father-in-law which may be why they keep him around.)

I see Dr Barry Herring. I changed dentists after 22 years due to my daughter and son in law’s recommendation. I was not a fan of having to have several appointments before I could get my teeth cleaned; but they have a plan on how they like to start off their new patients. They are ALL so very friendly. Will answer any question you have. And will thoroughly explain everything they saw in your X-rays and during the exam. I have a fear of dentists, snakes and I.V’s. They are happy to administer gas before and during any procedure! They were able to numb me up so well, that with the gas, I never knew they inserted the needle 5 times into my gums to deaden the whole area! I have had 3 very involved procedures there, and all were comfortable! Things I have NEVER said about a dentist in 57 years!!!
