I am so grateful to Dr. Landgren for taking me as an emergency patient while traveling. He remedied a tooth situation quickly and enough so that I will probably not have to further disrupt my working visit to Red Cloud, and can deal with the main issues when I get home. [I was also grateful not to have to drive to Hastings on a work day!] And the office only billed me for the x-rays, which were less than going out to dinner! A dentist’s office is not a place that most of us like to go, but I know if I needed more thorough and regular care in Red Cloud, that I would be in the right place. Thank you Dr. Landgren and your helpful staff for putting me at ease and for all of your help in a scary situation far from home.

I can’t recommend this dental practice strongly enough. I belong to the minority of people who metabolize Novocain abnormally quickly. Unfortunately, most dentists assume that I am simply having a common anxiety-related response where I think I am feeling pain but it’s actually an overreaction to contact and continue working without regard for my pain. Through my life, this has made dental care miserable at the best of times and horrific at worst, and a lifetime of these experiences has left me with an unhealthy fear of going to the dentist. To make matters worse, I suffer from a hereditary bone disorder that resulted in me needing a significant amount of in-depth treatment. When the situation finally got to the point where I couldn’t ignore the symptoms, I gave in and scheduled an appointment with the closest dental office. From the first appointment, the staff at the Landgren Dental Clinic was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Landgren was up front about my situation, without being judgmental or accusatory about the length of time I had avoided treatment. Then, he provided a straightforward evaluation of my condition and the work that would be needed. When I arrived for the second appointment -the one where the work was scheduled to begin -I was terrified at the level of pain that I expected to have to endure and already fighting tears despite having taken antianxiety medication in advance. Dr. Landgren was gentle and compassionate, making every effort to help me relax as he worked. To my amazement, there was no significant discomfort. Each time I communicated with Dr. Landgren that something was getting painful, he stopped and evaluated the situation, taking the appropriate measures to ensure that my appointment went off without any unnecessary suffering. In each of the two follow-up appointments, Dr. Landgren has remained focused on ensuring that his office responds to the slightest concern that I voice.
