I have had some bad experiences with Dentists not waiting for me to be numb and for not responding when the dental work is painful. Dr. Swanson “never hurts me” he always asks if Iam ok during filling and root canals and goes me more lidocaine and then waits and checks to see if I am numb. He did a beautiful job on the fillers for my recessed gums. I highly recommend him!

I had two molars pulled a couple of days ago and I feel fine. The part of dentistry I truly hate is the numbing shots. That is usually horrifically painful. It still hurt, but nowhere near as bad as I’m used to. I was amazed. The staff was very kind, courteous and calming I felt taken care of the moment I came through the door. The extractions took about a half- hour. Of course, it was uncomfortable, but it wasn’t as bad as expected. I focused on the background music and it was done in no time. Here’s the best part: I am a wheelchair user, and It is nearly impossible to transfer to the dental chair. Fortunately, I use a power chair, with actuators that move it up and down and tilts the seat, so the work was done from my chair. I could not be more grateful. I can’t imagine it made the job any easier, but he did it gladly. Wow. The following day, my jaw was a little sore, but I felt no pain. It is uncomfortable, but it’s not painful. I highly recommend Swanson Dental Group; especially if going to the dentist is scary to you. You couldn’t be in more competent and caring hands.

I was stressed about finding a good dentist when I moved to Reno in 2020 and am blessed to have found Dr. Swanson. He's friendly and an excellent and caring dentist and the staff surrounding him are professional and super nice. Thank you, Dr. Swanson!

I love Swanson Dental! Dr Swanson is a people person and he cares about his patients and how they are doing. He doesnt try to push procedures for the extra money and he explains every option. He is the ONLY Dentist who has been able to get me numb the first time, rather than me having to stop and ask for more. All around, the hygienist and the staff are very Professional and kind and know what they're doing here! I highly recommend this Office!

I had a dental emergency while vacationing at Lake Tahoe. The entire staff provided excellent patient care. The front office staff thankfully squeezed me in same day, and the assistant (I believe her name was Melissa) made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. Dr. Swanson has an excellent bedside manner. He was very careful during the examination as to not cause any additional pain. Dr. Swanson was thorough to ensure there was no infection present and realistic about my treatment options. I was able to receive a temporary fix same day until I can be seen by my primary dentist back in Virginia. Highly recommend!

I had an excellent experience with Dr Swanson this afternoon. I was traumatized by a dental procedure I needed due to an accident as a young child and have always had a really tough time at the Dentist' Dr Swanson and the entire staff were very accommodating as well as very skilled. He and his assistant were just really excellent and they worked in concert with each other very well, a well oiled machine. I cannot remember her name because I was so nervous but will try to update after next visit. I have been to Dentists in the military as well as all over the country as my work requires me to travel for construction in power generation. I will be away from home for extended periods so I have been to many different Dentists because of this. I think it important to mention as I have a large basis of comparison. Dr Swanson and his team are the best I have ever seen not only with their skill at the craft but at keeping a very nervous patient as calm and comfortable as any Dentist has ever been able to. I'm in my 60's. 2 years ago my regular dentist started his own practice, some distance away. After searching for a skilled, highly trained replacement, I got lucky and chose Dr. Garret Swanson. Since I have had regular dental care all throughout my life, I greatly value a skilled, gentle but thorough hygienist. Dr. Swanson has some of the Best in Reno. In fact, they have told me that good hygienists vie to work at Swanson Dental. Dr.Swanson is patient and skilled, and Good Professionals desire to work beside him....This extends to the receptionists, billing and all back-office staff with whom I've interacted. Dr. Swanson has now filled a difficult spot between two bottom teeth,where food would stick. (I had it done previously, but not successfully.) There is a newer technique now. Most recently, I needed a Crown on the back most upper molar. This required much drilling to prepare. AND, I DIDN'T FEEL ANY REAL PAIN!!! And, THE CROWN IS A FLAWLESS FIT and COLOR MATCH!!! I also remember that my mom backed off on dental care in her later years. Your Teeth can be a source for germs and infection. And being at the start of your digestive tract, and next to your brain, it is important to your overall health to prioritize their care as you age! If You Want Great Dental Care Choose Swanson Dental! Oh! and the office is spotless and the windows have pleasant views too!

I’m pretty picky when it comes to dentists, Swanson Dental Group definitely lives up to any expectations I would expect from a great dentist. The office is always clean, and is conveniently located. Everyone in the office I’ve encountered has been amazing to work with. Very professional, and easy going. The office staff is amazing, the hygienists are great at their job and friendly, Dr. Swanson uses modern dentistry, is gentle and does extremely quality work. I would recommend this dentist to anyone!

Dr Garret Swanson is probably one of the best dentist I have been too, he takes the time to explain things and answers all your questions. Swanson group is the best dentist in Reno, NV. They work appointments around your schedule. They create a priority sequence for your teeth so more pressing tooth matters are worked on first and let you know before your appointment how much you'll need to pay. Employees like Melissa and Allen are a treasure trove of useful information. The quality of their work exceeds all expectations. I am a hard judge and work in the medical field. My score for Swanson dental group is 98% with 2% room to grow.

I've been coming to the Swanson Dental Group for quite a few years now. With each and every visit, I've always felt satisfied, and self-assured, that each and every concern of mine was dealt with. My comfort has always been a top priority during each appointment. It's obvious that Dr. Swanson believes that to be a number one concern. Since even the minor dental procedure can be nerve-wracking for some, the Doctor and his staff go out of their way to assure you this will not be the case. From a simple cleaning, to a root canal, I can honestly say that I have felt I was in the best hands possible.
