this was my first time here. i have pretty severe dental anxiety, and both my hygienist and dentist were understanding and patient with me. they only did what was necessary and made sure i wasn’t embarrassed. i think i’ll always be scared to go, but it was very comforting. also uninsured right now, and my first visit + cleaning were cheap!

I have been a client of Stansell Dentistry for over 6 years and until this experience, I have always left positive reviews highlighting the exceptional dentists, hygienists and assistants as well as the punctual, professional service. I just completed a crown procedure that took over 3 months to resolve. I was very disappointed in the how the issue was handled by Dr. Stansell and the management team. I am going to assume this was an aberration and trust I do not have a similar situation in the future.

I received multiple texts reminding me of my appointment scheduled for 3/21 at 9:30 AM. I went to the office and checked-in from my car. When I went into the office, I was told that they did not have an appointment scheduled for me. I told them that I received multiple texts, but they said there was nothing they could do. I had to take a good amount of time off of work to come to the office, be told I didn't have an appointment even though they sent me multiple texts about it, and turn around and drive back to work. Even when I have had appointments, there have been multiple times where the hygienist has walked away for 20+ minutes with no explanation. I don't feel like they value my time whatsoever, and I don't plan on returning.

I love coming here. Everyone always makes me feel so comfortable and they’re so friendly. They take the time to explain things and if you have any questions they really know their stuff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stansell since 2013 and still make the 40 minute drive to the practice. This is by far the best dental practice in the area. They are very clean, friendly and knowledgeable. If you do not have insurance they offer a self pay rate as well as a discount off treatments. I had to get a filling updated today and Dr. S and Zeltzin did a wonderful job!

Today I had a wonderful experience at the dentist office. I must say at first it felt that it wasn’t going to be good but, by the end I was sold. The dentist that service me today was the best he explained everything in full detail. Thank you and my teeth thank you as well.Stansell dentist I want the same dentist every time.

I decided on Stansell after seeing glowing reviews and lots of recommendations for them, but all of my experiences here were not the greatest. The office staff and the dental hygienists are all very sweet and knowledgeable, but everything else just gave me a bad feeling from the get go and I wish I had trusted my instincts the first time. Every single time I’ve made an appointment, they are at least 30 minutes late. Obviously I understand that things happen, but every time? During the one appointment I made to get actual dental work done, I spent about an hour total just sitting around as the dentist came and went without telling me what was going on. This same dentist was also clearly annoyed and frustrated with me for being mildly anxious about the procedure and having a small mouth (even though my mouth isn’t that small….) I don’t even know what his name was, because he never introduced himself. In fact, I don’t have a clue what the names of any of the half a dozen different dentists I saw were, because they barely introduced themselves and it felt like they were in a rush to get me out as quickly as possible. After I had these fillings done, I’ve had nothing but problems with one of the teeth that was worked on and it took FOUR appointments coming back and forth and seeing a different dentist every single time for them to give me an actual diagnosis of what was wrong. The last time I came in expecting to have the problem filling replaced, but was told by another entirely different dentist that wasn’t what was happening and she thought a totally different procedure needed to be done. I called off of work and wasted all that time and anxiety expecting one thing and then was told something different. All of this could have been avoided if they had just done thorough testing the first time I was seen. I never leave bad reviews or any reviews for that matter, but my experience here has been nothing but trouble and has just made my dental anxiety even worse than it

I do enjoy going here for the most part and it’s close to my apartment. I do miss when they were at the old building and felt less like a corporate dental office. Ever since moving to this new location, I always see a different dentist every time and the last two times I’ve had hygienists who are temporary and only joined that morning so are not very familiar with the office or exactly how things work. The hygienists are friendly and do a good job, but I used to see the same one or two people. It doesn’t bring much confidence when the person struggles with the xray machine because they were barely trained at the office except attending a morning meeting maybe a brief tour. I saw another reviewer named Lauren who mentioned there is a lot going on here and seems to maximize patients per hour. I second this and again, this is moreso reflected after their move a couple years ago. If you are an anxious person about dentist and get overwhelmed by a lot of people around, I would seek a smaller dental office. Overall, I have decent experiences here but it’s hard to obtain any camaraderie or sense of connection when you see a new dentist every time and a hygienist who is only there for a week. I continue to go here due to location, overall level of service, and familiarity.

I had a root canal done here a couple years ago. The tooth got infected and had to be retreated. The endodontist I went to said they missed an entire root during the root canal and that's why it got infected. They cost me another $1500 because they didn't know what they were doing.

Super friendly, caring staff! Everybody’s so welcoming and the hygienists are super gentle and thorough! Beautiful experience.

I was examined and told to go for deep cleaning. Mostly deep cleaning starts after 2 weeks and an interval of 2 weeks in 4 sittings but it is done in very next 2 days and in 2 sittings and I got infection which took a week to heal because no antibiotics were suggested before every deep cleaning sitting which is must 2 days beforeand after. But worst part is that I told to wait 2 months as my insurance was new, but it was assured that insurance will cover its part. Now insurance has rejected claim and I am asked to pay $400 which is declined by insurance. Thus I have to pay full $900. It is not an issue but issue is that staff is ignorant about treatment and insurance procedure.

Wonderful thorough staff! Very informative, professional and helpful. Atmosphere is calming and friendly! DR Stansell and Lauren were very patient in answering all my questions.

Stansell Dentistry does not regard their customer's time the way the view their own. After booking an appointment with Dr. Yonsefi I arrived on time to only to find out he was "running late" 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. This should have been communicated after their morning staff meeting and before taking my payment for services. Due to my schedule, I left. I was offered a $9 compensation for my wasted time. After leaving this review I rescheduled another appointment and was engaged via phone call by office manager Lauren. She inquired on why I rebooked an appointment if I wasn't satisfied with the service. This personifies the opportunity the office management has on the customer experience and retaining clients.

My husband and I both recently started going to Stansell Dentistry and could not be happier. It’s in a very convenient location in Brier Creek overlooking the beautiful country club, and the office itself is very peaceful and calming with the decor. Rebecca is the dental hygienist we both see and she is a gem — so helpful, knowledgeable and comforting. For my appointment, I saw Dr. Lecann and she was also wonderful and made me feel at ease; my husband saw Dr. Stansell and said she was great as well. Thanks for everything and so happy to be a patient of this practice!
